I think you are missing my point, it has nothing to do with this individual seller but the bigger picture. If you would read my original post in this entire thread you would understand where all this came from. I'm trying to make a point that some people need to realize that they are not special, and others need to quit the mob mentality. I'm fine with rules being enforced, heck if you read my post then I said they should be enforced against him if he broke them. My entire point was that with what has gone on in the past, and even as far as recently with people get temp bans. People need to understand how things are run. I never once said the mod team was acting wrongly in the nature of closing his thread.
 
I just like that somehow Walt keeps finding new animated gifts.... Hysterical and odd ones at that.... Who keeps that many gifs of people eating popcorn?! Lol
 
Hope you guys dont think I never contribute to threads, but by the time I get to read them, every opinion has been said and every GIF has been posted(WALT). lol
 
One thing goes to show you that he does not read any threads on here except his own for sale threads since he has not posted on this thread!
 
I actually met this member when he was selling some frags a few weeks ago. He has three tanks. One freshwater, one reef with a few fish and one massive FOWLR tank that I thought was awesome. It runs the length of an entire wall in one big room. It was nice.

I didn't get the impression that he was running a LFS out of his home. He just had a bunch of coral colonies and fish and needed to get rid of them because he was planning on trying some other stuff. I don't know anything else about him or his history here but he was nice to me and gave me some great frags for a good price.

Not defending either side here but I just think he has two salt tanks that he is looking to go a different direction with now. I know he isn't very tech savvy on the forums. He did tell me that and I seen it in a few posts.

All I know is he gave me a great deal on two frags i was looking for and he gave me some good points and help with some products he recommended and tips he learned from his coral. He was a good fellow reefer, like many of you on here.

I agree on the point that being a part of this forum means participation everywhere though. He was very knowledgeable and could probably offer some people tons of help on here.

And if this was the person he presented himself as on the forum he would be welcomed with open arms around here. It's just disappointing that the image he presents of himself is a fish/coral flipper power seller...
 
I agree fishbeard. I do see everyone's point and looking through his posts does paint a completely different picture. Like I said, I don't know him other than that thread I purchased frags from him on. He could be a flipper power seller or just someone that loves the hobby and constantly changing his tanks. I wouldn't know to be honest.

I was just sharing my experience with him and what I knew of him.
 
I have also been to his house for a fish a cpl times, however that was before I noticed how often he has stuff fs. I also caught him in a cpl lies while at his house, he was talking himself in circles. And that tank that takes up the whole wall is only a 125g, he has a small bedroom.

A little less exaggeration on tank size would have helped lol. To me, when you say the whole length of the wall, I am thinking a 12-15ft tank which would be close to the 1000 gallon tanks since my walls are no less then 10ft.

Sorry i don't normally bust out a tape measurer when i visit people's homes and measure their tanks but i am pretty positive it was larger than 6 feet. It doesn't matter anyways. I was just noting my experience, others obviously have had different ones but mine was not negative and i know at least one other member here that had a good experience as well.

Like i said i don't know him personally or his intentions. However, I don't think we should judge someone just because they aren't on here as much as the rest of us are.

My point is i had a good experience with him and got some great frags and advice, just like i do with many others on here. I didn't get the impression some others did and i was just noting that in the spirit of fairness, just like i would if a thread went up about anybody else i have done business with on here. Then the other users can make their own decisions.

That was his post a few weeks ago selling his sohol tang. 6ft-er :)
 
I didn't read that and didn't know all 125's were automatically 6 feet. Now I know.

I was just judging based on when I seen it. It doesn't matter to me anyways. Just didn't intentionally exaggerate it. I've done that with other tanks too. Seen some that definitely looked bigger than mine but turned out to be the same size, just different dimensions.

I hear ya coraln00b. I just didn't want people thinking that he has a monster tank suitable for all the fish he posts.
