ChicagoReefs.com Official Spring 2012 Paly Grow-Out Contest

I guess if you guys want to glue these plugs to a larger plug or ceramic disc to account for extra growth, that's fine, but the original polyp has to stay on the supplied plug. I'm thinking of using ceramic discs for the next grow out anyways, these were small, but it's part of the theme for the winners prize since the frag rock uses these plugs.

I vote not to use these types of frag plugs again cause there just playing hard to place much of any where and there a pain in the butt to try and cut the bottoms of these plugs off....JMO.

If you cut the bottom off the plug you are disqualified! ;-) these plugs will not be used next time. Like I said, they were part of the theme for the prize so the winner can drop their frag right into the prize! Since I had a bag of 100 of these, it made sense to use them instead of spend more on supplies for this grow out. On the upside, funds made from this grow out will allow me to get nice plugs or discs for the next one.

This is what my polyp is doing. I've never seen one do this before.

My paly hates me.

My paly has not been doing well as I've mentioned so I figured I'd take a pic to show you guys. Well, here it is. What, you say? That's not a paly? Well...Most of my paly is now in the belly of this nasty asterina. If anything survives, I'll take a pic of what's left....

hmm I found one of the starfishes in our 90 and I dont think it has eaten anything. I didnt take it out but its pretty big. My paly hasnt really been opening but looks like I have a baby polyp coming.

i woke up to 3 small asterina's feasting on my paly. This is strange, I've never seen the stars eat any other palys or zoas. This paly now sleeps with da fishes
