This is why I would be prudent with someone sticking their hands in a tank if I was the LFS staff: Man pours bleach in fish tanks kills 8000 dollars worth livestock
Glad you come across as a helpful, positive, intelligent reefer necessary to the forum...um yeah...

I will confess that when I am at Sho Tank I sometimes put my hand above the clam tanks to watch them retract when I block the light. I also like to put my hand above the lower tanks when he has the puffers in them that spit water at my hand.
I usually dose Fuel once a week or so. I can't really tell if it makes a difference or not. I definitely am dosing way below what the bottle recommends. It's full of aminos so it can't hurt.
I don't know about RW and their tactics on selling their stock, but we do use Fuel here at Reef City in our coral flat. Since we started using it we noticed better polyp extension especially in all NPS corals. About a minute after we dose, everything opens to feed, and that's when I get my chance to target feed the LPS... like acans and brains...
We have never had any issues with it like fouling the system with unnecessary nutrients.
Everything we carry we personally use. And if we don't use it and it's on the shelf, it's because a customer requested it.

So here is my observation with Fuel. I have been dosing 2 times a week on all my tanks to the bottles numbers. I also see my SPS polyp extension is better for few days after a dose. I would say my tanks are doing well. I cannot tell you how much of that is Fuel vs feeding vs BSR 2 part. I watch Alc and PH and just use the cheap paper strips to check for Nitite and nitate. I have Hana tester for Alc, calc, and phos.
Again, looks to me like Fuel helps, but your basics need to be right all the time. My only issues were when Phos was up or Dk was low. You need to keep it in refigerator once opened, it does spoil, keep an eye on that.

I stopped using Fuel, when I started to associate algea breakouts with dosing. When I used fuel algea seemed stronger
So it's been a few months now. Are you three still dosing Fuel? And have you noticed a positive change in your corals? And issues with using fuel?
