I'm already experiencing the joys of home ownership. I didn't realize my neighborhood was flushing hydrants last night and I was mixing RO for moving my tank today. My RO filter is pretty much spent now but at least I have about 50+ gallons of RO. It looks like the tds says .007 but it's .001.

Wow, that sediment filter definitely looks shot. What do you mean, tds says .007, but its .001?

In the picture the TDS meter looks kinda like it says 007 but it's just a weird angle of the display. It's 001

Getting the Systems sump ready for the move today. Going to give it and the filter socks a quick RO rinse

Fish workroom next to tank, sounds perfect. Good luck with move.

The move has begun, I broke down the 60g at my apartment and it has been relocated to my house. Breaking the tank down wasn't too bad, I learned a lot from breaking down my biocube 1 1/2 years ago, so I knew what to expect.

I picked a terrible day to move everything, it was about mid 40s and raining. By the time I got home all of the buckets were about 65 degrees.

Luckily I had extra heaters, I dropped the heaters in the buckets with the fish to temp acclimate them. Once the temp reach 77 I transferred the fish and live rock to a Rubbermaid container. Floated all the corals in their bags for acclimation and dropped them in the container as well.

A little tip I picked up, glue ends of plugs together to store coral in half the bags:

Tanked has been removed from the apartment:

...and placed in the new basement:

Was up pretty late last night working on the plumbing. It was my first time hard plumbing a tank, I tested the pipes and haven't seen any leaks yet:

All of my livestock, letting everything survive off sunlight for today, hopefully everything survives:

Some extra frags in here, just threw an air pump in for water movement for the day:

Another busy day...I filled the tank and started getting my equipment in. I really need to get my fish and corals out of the Rubbermaid tub so I decided to introduce my new cycles rock to the tank.

Mounting my AI Hydra 26 with my new AI mounting kit, it looks so much better than the hanging plant holder I used before.

I absolutely love my sump. I am trying to soak up its glory now before it becomes a disgusting mess.

Live rock and 2 bags of live sand introduced. Hopefully this clears up by tomorrow.

Checked on the tank before work, things are clearing up. I threw a damsel in the refugium last night and it's still alive. Going to run some parameter tests when I get home and move my livestock over.

Like the aquascape. Reminds me of mine

They are fairly similar. I like your minimalistic scape. I will be adding a few more rocks I have tonight so they won't look as similar. I'm pretty happy with it so far though

Didn't take pictures today, but I stopped by Aquapros today and picked up a couple of acro colonies. When I got home I moved all of my corals into the tank. All of my acros have been glued and puttyed to the rock.

All fish and other coral have been introduced as well. I'll take some pics tomorrow, i really liked what I was seeing even when the acros were stressed out. We will see how it looks tomorrow

Nice setup! Tagging along as I'm working with the same cube tank!

What bulb are you using in your fuge? Where did you get it?

Coral Compulsion grow bulb. Got it from aquapros

Well all of my coral is in and everything survived so far. All of my fish are in and seem to be doing ok, I couldn't find my pistol shrimp when I was draining the tank before the move, but I guess he crawled into a rock and hid. He is already paired pack up with my Randall's goby.

I really don't like the look of all the loose rocks on the sand bed. I am going to try and figure out a better way to place them. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

These are acros I've been collecting on my frag rack for the past 4 months. I'm very happy to finally place them in the new tank. Some seemed stressed(loss of color), but most seem to be doing great with full polyp extension.
