Frag grow outs...?

I've noticed that this trend never really caught on in the Chicago area but it's very popular elsewhere. Would people be interested in doing some?

For those of you that don't know what it is...
It's when a group of people team up and buy some really expensive corals. One person is the propagator of the coral(s) (the best best tank for that type of coral), and once it's grown out it's fragged up amongst the participants.

It may take longer to get the coral, but it's more cost effective when going after multiple expensive corals.

Hmmmm. I was just talking about this a few min ago.

I may be interested depending on majority vote for type of corals.

Not familiar with it but it sounds interesting. How would any liabilities be handled? Propagator's heater malfunctions, etc. ?

I have really great luck with chalices. I believe it's the vitamin C. Ever since I started adding it, they have been more brilliantly-colored & growing like crazy! Even some that I thought were goners, are HUGE now!

Sometimes this works out sometimes it doesnt from what I have seen in other areas. Not sure if its worth the risk.

Just make sure that it's someone who has a strict QT procedure. Doesn't matter what you add to your tank to make your coral grow if they keep coming up with pests (redbugs, flatworms, dino, algae, etc.).

Ok all. Are there chalice lovers? There are some sick chalices out there that range from 300-1500 a frag. Those would be good grow out contestants.

U take a risk with everything in this case it wouldnt as much cause alot of people are in this
im in if yous decide to do it
We should use ur tank erick is super neat

Yep, Eric's is one of the few tanks I would trust for this kind of thing.
