Herbieace's 28g Nanocube

I added the JBJ nanozapp UV sterilizer and the JBJ heater controller. InTank media basket on the way. HA is starting to get beaten back!

I also got this which is a little pricey, but totally awesome for getting the HA out. I could easily pick up any rock in my tank with this. I'll write a proper review when I have pics.

with all the HA ur lawnmower blenny must be happy lol

Sooo fat. I'm actually farming algae in another tank so I can keep feeding him once this bloom dies out. Anyone happen to know if they will eat prepared veggie food? I love that fat little Mr. T and he is definitely living up to his name.

If you don't mind me asking where do you have your mp10 positioned? Getting one for my wife wondering on placement? Maybe a pic?

what kind of nem is that? almost looks like a stringy majano in shape, but much different color, pretty sweet lookin set up btw

Thanks a lot! That was a lucky hitchhiker. I think it is a Rock Flower Anemone (Epicystis crucifer). It has changed a lot since I first noticed it about a week into my cycle. Here is is a few days ago.

It is about 2 inches across right now. It has really cool orange and green markings around the mouth, but they don't come out on my camera (working on getting macro lens)

wow thats pretty sweet! and lucky haha i always look for stuff like that on LR when its in the holding bins, sometimes theres some weird stuff that rides along! And in your case cool

Thanks for the reason! I hope they help. I've moved the mp a few times, but I like it here really well and I think it is exactly what the instructions indicate. I do have a pretty bad dead spot behind the back wall on the left, but I think I am going to divert the left return straight down at a 90 for help with that (not like I need the flow). That is going to happen with any set up though.

Yeah I got really lucky with this rock. I picked it up at MCF right as they were off loading the truck. It was soaked and wrapped in newspaper from Fiji from 2 days before! I barely had a cycle and it is covered in little fans and christmas trees. Funny how I didn't even realize I was taking a risk by going uncured, and didn't realize until much later that it could have been really bad. Also had a cryptoplax chitin (see initial post on this thread), but he did not make it.

I need to get a better camera set-up. . .

I picked up this Orange Aussie Plate Coral at MCF yesterday (It's not going to be hard to spend the gift card at all). No matter what I do it looks green on camera. Also got some sexy shrimp, a tiny yellow cucumber and a tiny chiton (really liked the HH I had). More pics later.

Was finally able to connect with MCF on my cherub angel today. He is definitely worth the wait. A tiny little specimen perfect for rounding out my vertebrate population. I was a little concerned about my occelaris pair because one bites the heck out of my hand every time I work in the tank, but the angel instantly swam to them and I swear they all had a bonding moment (or the angel was trying to hide under the clowns, but I am going to stick with bonding). Already in the mix at feeding time and hasn't seemed to touch any LPS.

Good job! I love the rockwork.

Did you ever get that chaeto? I had algae on the glass every day when I got home from work until I dropepd my chaeto in the fuge. I haven't had ANY algae in the DT since. I was shocked at the difference it makes. Apparently these people on these forums do know what they are talking about. :to_pick_ones_nose3:
