Alright folks, the 19th isn't going to happen and the next weekend is a Holiday. As Dan said, we have a place to do this now all we need is someone to organize it. This shouldn't be that complicated...tables, chairs, cards, chips, BYOB, maybe a couple pizzas that we can chip in on. I have 2 x 6 foot tables so I figure we'll need 1 more based on the # of folks who responded to the poll. Perhaps everyone brings their own beverages and a chair. I can supply 2 tables and some of the chips. I can also pick up playing cards
Here's what we need:
3 decks of cards
More chips (probably 2 more sets)
PICK a DATE (I will create another poll when we figure out what the heck we're doing)
WE NEED SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO ORGANIZE A HOLD 'EM TOURNAMENT to suggest how the buy-in works in relation to raising $$$, etc, etc. If we don't have someone who knows what to do and will step up then we might as well scrap this idea and do something else. There are certainly other ways to do a fund raiser other than a poker tournament.
