Inocense's Bio Cube 29g Thread

Wow, clearly I have not updated this thread in AWHILE!.... Not sure where I even left off. Let's see.. So far I have evicted a Neon Dottyback (sorry jay! lol), a Hawkfish and most recently, my Starcki Damsel which was beautiful but an a-hole.. My Diamond Watchman Goby jumped to the rear of the cube and was found hours later in bad shape, he landed on the media basket. He died within 24 hours. I currently have the following fish... 2 Clowns, a Bengaii Cardinal (tore up pretty bad from the damsel), a Tail Spot Blenny (my favorite fish) and a Yellow Clown Goby.

I will post a video soon with an update.. :)

Don't feel bad for me feel bad for him he lives in the sump now. Living off bristle worms...lol

Josh, it drives me a little crazy to be honest.. lol. I am slowly getting used to it. He stayed in the spot I wanted him for about a week.. then took a stroll.. could be worse I suppose.. lol

Ha! Jerk! Does he eat em? !

Having some low alk issues. I have decided to switch my salt to see if that helps issues. I currently use Salinity and I am going to switch to Tropic Marin Pro Reef. When I first started this aquarium I used TM Pro Reef so I am going to go back to it and see how well it performs in my now more established tank. The only reason I switched in the first place was due to a recommendation of a few members here and at the time I was buying the Pro Reef in small quantity so it was super expensive.

I also want to look into why my SPS either don't grow or grow extremely slowly. I was advised that there were not enough elements in the water because my birdsnest are super fluffy but their skeleton's have not grown.

Suggestions? Will a product like Fuel correct this or should I put looking at something entirely different?

Alk still low at around 6.9... Dosing Part A & Part B to try and bring it up.. New salt should be here sometime this week. I will most likely mix it with the Salinity salt until it is gone. Also ordered a new skimmer because I am not sure what is going on with my Hydor Slim Skim Nano (may just need to be cleaned) but I think I will try the Tunze 9001 to see if I get better results. I will be selling one or the other in a couple months if anyone is interested.. lol

I decided to go with the original Tropic Marin salt after an extensive conversation with the rep at TM. lol.. I decided this because my alk is low already, so the higher alk in the original will bring me up to where I want to be. I also do not run a cal reactor so the additional calcium in the original is good too.. :)

Added a purple fire fish to my tank. He's beautiful but very intimidated by my tail spot blenny.. :-/
