Jasimek's 90 gallon build

Had an issue with my tropic Marin salt. Alk kept reading real low around 3 dkh when I tested several different batches of salt I made up. Not dealing with that anymore so I purchased aquavitro salinity from Aquapros yesterday. I only had enough water made up for 5 gallons. Mixed nicely and when I tested it with the same test kit as I did with the tropic Marin (Hanna checker) it came out exactly as was listed on the bucket-around 9 dkh or so. Going to do several more water changes over the next few days and hopefully see a good diffetence

Really like the setup. I also have AI Sol's on my 90, but only two. Debating if three would make a big difference. I like how yours looks. Does the center bar get in the way of the center Sol and create a bad shadow?

The center brace doesn't really cause shadows, however, I'm not sure that area gets the best light. I may consider modifying the light rack and turn the middle one horizontal instead of vertical.

Had them for less than a year. I think they are pretty good in contrast to some people on this forum ( you know who you are). I do seem decent growth. I can't give a great review of them right now cause I have had water quality issues but now that has been taken care of I hope I see a huge change

Simplifying my system. Took Gfo/carbon reactor off line as well as the sterilizer. I also stopped using filter socks. Tank seems much happier since I made these changes.
