Joe's Community build 75g build thread

.026 lol I dunno Wtf happened. I think I had to much going on. Draining 15g to fill qt, acclimating new fish, filling 75 and making more sw all at once while eating dinner lol.
 
So weird thing lol. If I put my hand in the water and my arm touches one of the metal wires suspending the lights I get electroctued. I verified it by having my gf try :lol: only thing I can think of is becausei break the grounding plugs off the electrical cords on the power strip lol.
 
Well shoulder tang is looking good and healthy. Thetile fish not so much. He has some sort of whitefungus thing in his head and today he didn't eat. Kinda worried he might not make it. Any suggestions?
 
Tile fish didn't make it through the night. I'm at a stopping point on my tank. I've lost so much over the past 2 months that the joy of the tank isn't overcoming the price. Think I'm just going to let the tank run and just do my weekly maintence and nothing more. No more buying fish or coral.

Shits frustrating especially when u don't know why things die

Sorry to hear that man - all tanks go through these phases where chit hits the fan outta no where (my tank is currently doing the same) I know how frustrating it can be.
 
Sorry to hear about this Joe.

I agree with Dan. My 27 went through a mini crash a couple months ago. Came on all of a sudden, then went away all of a sudden.

Just keep an eye on your parameters and maintain the tank for a while. Hopefully things will improve.

Its been in qt for 2 and a half weeks. I got them both 2 sundays ago. Treated in copper and medicated food only showed signs (that I noticed) monday.

He was eating mysis and nls pellets
 
I'm getting a pretty bad bubble algae breakout. Any suggestions as to why? I cut down of feeding and I'm running more gfo but seems to be getting worse and worse ove the past month. I threw an emerald crab in yesterday. I'll see if he starts helping.
 
Joe, if the emerald can't eat larger bubbles, as crazy as it sounds, pop as much as you can. The smaller spores and bubbles are more manageable for emeralds. :)
 
Yeah apparantly smooth skinned fish shouldn't be in copper. A copperband was also on the list. Maybe that's why I lost my copperband also
