Hmm you missed a spot

Actually the middle fixture does a little. It just doesn't have the same front to back coverage as the AI sols. I wanted to replace 2 sols with it, but modified the game plan and added it as a supplemental light.

I'm finding more and more, the par and spread of AI sols is very hard to beat for the price.

Give it to the tangs.

They love it in my tank. I dont let them have it often. But sometimes.

Ive pondered on drying some and maybe making some type of flake.

No tangs here, I'm just glad to be getting rid of nutrients. I'll throw it away wearing such a shit eating grin, you'd laugh.

So ill ask.

Usually when i have to clean mine. I rinse the screen under a faucet of somesort. My basement has a slop sink that has more pressure than most so the screen looks great afterwords.

Here my question. What do most do then? Aware that you just used tap water to rinse off the crap. Do you place it back in use?
Sometimes i do. When its late and my ats light is on i do put it back in use
Other times when the ats light is off. I let it air dry.
What do you do?(knowing its your 1st use, what will you do)

So far, I did just as Floyd R Turbo said in the instructions. I just rinsed off the screen in the basement wash tub and put it right back into service. The stuff in the cup was the stuff I scraped from the false bottom.

IMO, it's the only way to go. Sand or any other substrate looks nice, but just collects nutrients. I siphon vacuum the BB once every two weeks and as compared to all the worreis of sand.

I dont know..you right about the nutrients but I feel like something is missing

Again just IMO. I'm function over forum in every aspect of life. Even when life gets busy my reef is setup to be as hands off as possible, considering all the sps the BB adds to long term success.

Hey now that doesn't mean is not a beautyfull tank..wish my tank could look half nice as yours..i cant even grow caulerpa lol.
