Kerber13's 120 gal upgrade

rule of thumb is 1 inch of fish per actual gallon, right?
Take 120 + your sump volume-approximate volume of rock and sand-the sum of the max size of each of the fish on LA.com. If the result is greater than 0 you should be ok. I don't claim to know how any of those fish interact with each other though.

In that case i can add a lemonpeel angel.. those things r sick

Stocking List

2x Occelaris Clowns
1x Bangaii Cardinal
1x Purple Tilefish
1x Blue Star Leopard Wrasse
1x Black Leopard Wrasse
1x Potter’s Leopard Wrasse
1x Diamond Goby
1x Cherub Angel
1x Regal Angel
1x Potter’s Angel
1x Mandarin Goby
1x White-Tail Bristletooth Tang
1x Kole Tang
1x Yasha Goby/Pistol Shrimp
1x yellow tang
1x lemonpeel angel

OK how ridiculous is this?

MHO (and because I'm bored)

120+40-x-90=Y if y>0 then you should be good. X is the volume of your rock and sand. (I'd take the regal off)
BTW, your list is also $651 retail (all babies).

the volume of the sand and rock isnt going to be 70 gallons ik that...and ik they r pricey but i will be getting 1 fish a month and i already have the occys..tilefish...bangai...cherub angel...and the blue star leopard

Is it really 1 inch of fish per gallon? I always get mixed feelings from different stock list I see per tank I see.

thats how some people do it...usually works well...cause the fish never gets to the size it's said to..he says 90in of fish ill get 75inches if im lucky with all the fish

Yeah, it's just a guideline, and the actual fish probably play a bigger role than their size, but it's a place to start. Some fish are even negative or neutral bio-load (LM Blenny/Yasha Goby) so the fish on the list are definitely more important than just their size.

+1 its about fish interaction and basically how much crap they will produce along with how much i need to feed them to really determine their bioload...the more i look at it the more i think i can handle it...specially with 15% weekly waterchanges

I think i'm gonna go with this stock list: 2x Occelaris Clowns
1x Bangaii Cardinal
1x Purple Tilefish

I think it'll work well and im confident i can make it work!

I like to create about 1 1/4" in between the baffles and it becomes a sweet spot for a heater tucked in there. And the occasional media bag of carbon when needed. Other than that is looks good.

Got my goodies today :D first ill start with the boring stuff...plumbing and heater:

Moo to you too! I'll see when I can come over; we have to make the overflow boxes tomorrow and start the plumbing. Then we have to attach the overflow boxes on Saturday. Come Sunday, we can get this thing wet, assuming we can keep on schedule. Get ready for chaos!
