Today I worked on finishing the staining of the wood cabinet and tried to fix the chunk of spaghetti wires on the side of the tank and labeled all wires and connections....
I really like this idea, especially with the window showing the controller. Great job! The tank looks great.

So lately my challenge was getting my Alk up to a decent level after having a drop over some weeks. It took me about 2 weeks but I was able to get it somewhere where I am ok with it. The lowest point was at 6.8 and I was able to bring it up to 7.6 just by doing an extra water change every week and dosing Alk as my top-off. I set my doser lines from the same top off to ad alk throughout the day as well so my levels could be more stable and not have so many swings. Everything seems to be responding very well after setting up my doser. I have noticed a small difference on my acans but is adjusting and getting back to its normal size. Other than that all my acros and branching SPS have been doing very well, the color and growth have been great since the start of the tank. Another big change in my inverts and live stock was the split of my 2 nems. I am slowly runing out of room with these guys multiplying.
So with no further delay I will post pictures of the livestock and progress of the tank.

Man they are a very powerful fixture. I put them on high one night by mistake because of the controller, and just nearly killed 2 acros lolhow are you liking the kessil buddy ? now that you have used it a while
I am going to try out my radion next week over the tank. The mount is being made. We will see how that goes.

no i ended up with a kessil 360 (and a 350 for back up) i tried the hydra 26 (for full spectrum) but didnt really like it. kessil makes every color pop even when using whites ..
also that shadowing thing i think is BS now cause i literally placed some coral under ledge and they are doing well and getting light. no harsh hard shadows for me
im running it at 45% color and 65% intensity right now.

30. These are reef keeper controller values. I had it at 90 and bleached the shit out if most of my stuff lol

I still haven't got the mount
I can't say if I will like the radion or not. But i am very happy with the kessil. I bought a controller for it so it makes it that much better.
it looks sexy just sitting there not doing anything lolI'd like to see all the other Cubes out there. I might start a thread if there isn't already one out there to check them out.
I agree. 2 of my nicest acros bleached due to the color being way passed 50% and intensity at 80% Never again. Lol
Allthough I run 85% at the peak of the day now but with the color at 35% max. Some people hate blue tanks but I love mine blue, makes the colors of every little thing pop.
