Midwest Coral Farms shutting down.

im mark and im gary's partner in another of his businesses...im watching how a group of amazingly honest and dedicated people who just wanted to take care of people in the hobby are getting burned by so many people who have no idea how many obstacles this company and these special people endured to create mcf to become what it became. I had been witness to things that any other business owners would have dealt so differently with, but the mcf people always stayed on the high ground. it's great to see people praising them as well. but no one will ever know the secrets that abide at this company. the owners stay on the high ground. the owners are so totally honest and caring to their customers as well as their employees and to people in general. they are the finest people i have ever met and dont turn their backs on anyone. Its so sad to see my partner distraught over some of the absolute made up scenarios, it's all i can muster to try and respond civilly to some of the outlandish accusations. rumors and gossip can be so vicious and so wrong. im sure my partner will thrive after all of this is in the past..ive a feeling that even in a perfect world there will be a blogger who will criticize the perfection. the local fish stores can now celebrate that mcf chose to not put them out of business and those of you who disdained mcf no longer have to feel cheated for buying corals sold below cost. and beware, some of the corals some of you might be buying at your lfs's just may have gone through the hands of the amazing reinvented mcf people selling wholesale..watch those markups!

Yes, we all know that on the internet accuracy is directly correlated to how many times a person posts. Because there are all those magic fact-checking genies that only allow a person to post over 1000 times if they are telling the truth.

Not even sure why anyone is debating me. I wasn't asking anyone's opinion. I'm telling you what happened.

i never got the chance to stop in mcf even though i intended to get up there the question does come to mind if the business was making money and the silent partner wasn't an individual that was in the day to day operation why wouldn't it continue? sarahs still there, the employes are still coming in. I would expect a profitable business to keep running. Unless its the case of extra cash being required for its operation wasn't going to be available in the future. It just doesn't sound right and very sudden.
 
This whole situation sucks. I guess that explains why they were almost giving away coral on Sunday!

To the staff...Good luck with your future endeavors. You always treated me right!
