More new LED goodies! 72w CREE led remote controlled programmable fixtures $419.99!!

Would there be an option of swapping out LEDs since they are manufactured first and then sent to you? I wanted to throw in couple of UV bulbs and see if that helps corals pop. Just curious, do you have any pictures of this fixture over a tank while its on? Maybe when you had it setup over your 20l?

Some sort of discount would be good if buying more then one fixture. :)

You can certainly customize it, however I'll have to see if that would affect a bulk discount I could potentially get. As for UV, I would recommend against that specific spectrum. The standard colors I spec in this fixture include 4 True Violet leds which are 395nm-430nm (they peak right around 410-420 which is ideal for corals). UV leds on the other had are usually 365nm-410nm, and as their name states, usually emit true ultraviolet rays, which have been known to negatively affect corals, and completely miss the 420nm wavelength which has been proven to benefit corals.

Unfortunately I don't have any pics of the test fixture I had over my tank. However, I do have a few pics of that fixture with the lights on. And as you can see, this was the standard fixture without the cyans, reds, and violets. However, I also included a diagram of what the layout with the additional colors will be.

Either way, I will give you somewhat of a discount purchasing two, but I'm trying to see if I can get a more substantial discount to pass along to all of you with a larger order than I usually make. I can get back to you, probably tomorrow, regarding the specifics of pricing once I talk to my manufacturer tonight.

If you have any other questions, or additional thoughts, just let me know.

Okay, thank you so much for the help! I will stick with the leds it comes with per your suggestion since I am new to leds. Let me know on the discount when you can.

Forgot to ask, what optics do these fixtures come with? And are these fixtures equivalent to maybe a 150, 250, or 400w MH fixture?

The standard optics I spec are 90 degrees. I find that is the best balance of light spread and helping the light penetrate deeper. However, it is certainly possible to get them with 60 degree also.

As for MH equivalence, with the optics on them, these should be about equivalent to 400w MH.

Awesome! Would you recommend me swapping the 90 optics out for 60 optics since I have a 2' deep tank or would the 90 optics penetrate just fine?

You should be perfectly fine with the 90s. Two of these is going to be lots of light for that tank, you will have no problem with penetration. The 90s will also allow you to put the fixture closer to the water so you don't have to mount it so high.
