sorry i may be pulling on this too long .. but you spent $50s here and there on some sps pieces .. wouldnt chiller at around $200 or so used .. make more sense to keeping them alive ? ill shut up now

I understand where your coming from I just can't afford to get one anytime soon got a lot of bills to pay and very low on funds right now my mom is also out of work and I am helping pay more Bulls for them as well so it's getting harder to save right now

Belive me I would love to get one I was stupid for not pulling the trigger on a fee that have popped up in the past

Stop buying coral with those temps it will be hard to keep anything alive. What you would spend on coral for the next few weeks or months save toward a used chiller, no need to throw away your limited money makes more sense to pay bills and not flush your money down the toilet.

i apologize, didnt mean to question your means or ways or to offend .. only meant it as a friendly question..
but honestly may be ask a friend to hold your most valuable coral ..
at 86 its just a ticking clock and they wont survive long .. more so as its swings between 86 and upper 80s i assume.

Yes, swings from 79-86 just depends on how hot it is out side I have never seen it higher then that I don't even run any of my t5s right now and I have my leds on low settings just trying to keep it some what stable so the swing is not to high

I've found the dehumidifying effect beneficial, but the units I had generated a too much heat.

When you take ownership of living creatures that have no say in being put in captivity you really need to take some responsibility for their well being and environment. When you have a heat problem that will and has already led to the demise of your livestock you are responsible for fixing it. If you don't have the financial means of making it better then do something else to give your coral and fish a better place to live.

For your information I am working on taking care of my problem so back off ok.... sorry I can not afford everthing at one can like other I have done everthing I can and am working on it so get lost and lay off

I have done this on my hot hot days and it works, just with my job I can not be their to change it right away and it heats up b4 I get home agen, I never had this problem with my other tank. Idk what makes this one so different

Damn Matt that sucks dude. Hopefully you figure something out.
"Well think I might be going a different route with my tank, I have been fighting heat issues and can not afford to keep loosing sps and buying a chiller is out of the question. So I think I might be doing more lps from hear on out going to keep the sps I got still. Hope all goes well with the ones I have seeing they are not cheep wish me luck on everthing with this tank"
Heat issues and chiller is out of the question but you can change direction and buy lps coral instead of sps??????? Good luck man in all seriousness I wish you the best. You don't need luck just do the right thing whatever that is for you. Hope your situation improves.
