My new 140 custom GLA tank build

Let me take guess - trio of heniochus fish? Tank looks good, to take best pictures is in the evening, window shades on, tank lights on, no flesh on camera. Than you can play with different settings. :)

How'd you do that? :congrats: Well, I guess the cats out of the bag, but you still can't see them until next week when they go into the DT.

Thanks also for the tips on the camera. I'll give it a try. I also read from Mai that under LEDs it is hard to get good pictures with the blue ones on.

I guess I could be a fortune teller some day :), and yes pictures under leds are PIA.

I haven't updated this for awhile, and fortunately some news is great and unfortunately some news isn't. First my corals are doing spectacular. Since going to LEDs my growth and color are great with most of my corals showing great PE.

The fish on the other hand have been pretty much wiped out with a single misstep on a QT failure, as velvet took out 13 out of 15 fish within a week. The survivors were a flame hawkfish, and most surprisingly a hippo tang. Everything is going well now as I restart stocking again. In quarantine are 2 clowns and a midas blenny. The DT still needs about 7 weeks of running fallow. I'm leaving it fallow for a total of 10 weeks.

I think my failure was a time period while the fish were in QT that my cupramine levels went to low. I should have restarted the entire process of treating them but I didn't. I have to say, though, that this is really my first experience with a disease that caused this many deaths. I am astounded at how fast it all happened. By the time I noticed any signs, it was too late for most of them. But I'm moving forward again, and grateful that the tank is healthy and other then the loss of the fish everything is now doing well again.

Corals are looking great! Glad to see that you didn't give up after the velvet.

Keep those corals growing good for me lol :D
