My new centerpiece fish, help me keep it alive!

Super finicky. Doesn't look interested in rods pellets or frozen brine. I'll try mysis tomorrow. He's taken a few nibbles out of this little neck clam though! We will see what happens!

Jealousy is starting to kick in

ANARCHY

+1 on blackworms, also try fresh clam on half shell. Make sure to take it out after couple of hours not to pollute your water.

Agreed... Anything wormlike they typically go after with delight. Note... If you have any feather dusters in your tank... The CBB will anialate them.

I had one for a couple of years and then put of nowhere....it puked out. I am thinking of getting another myself. They are awesome fish.

Super bummed, it's been 48 hours. I have him nibbling on some clams. As well as some mysis. He's been looking pretty good. Tonight he was very close to the glass and letting me inspect him pretty close. I notice a few tiny white specs on him. Praying this isn't ich! I took a huge risk putting him straight into the tank. I just finished a fallow period about two months ago and have been nervous adding fish ever since. I was stupid and tried putting him straight into the reef as I was hoping he would have a better chance at living. Tonight I notice a few specs and pray this isn't ich all over again. No scratching, no flashing, all 7 other fish show zero symptoms. I'm really hoping everything stays ok. I don't even think I can process the thought of catching all 8 fish at this time and doing another fallow period. Stupid of me to put him right into the reef. I should have qted. Time will tell. I hope this isn't what I think it is. Always qt. I should stick to my primary regimen.

Welp, he's out of the tank. I'm not taking the risk. I saw a few spots. May have been sand but sure looked like ich. I'm not taking that risk. I know if it was it's probably in the water column. Like I said, no other fish show signs, no scratching, no abnormal behavior, heavy breathing.

I'm taking precautions. He's out of the tank, and in QT in the basement. First dose of cupramine is in effect.

I'll keep posted.

Cheers!

Hope this guy makes it! He's an awesome fish!

That will kill him faster u will crash a qt lot faster then a dt
Not sure what you're referring to. Crashing as in ich? Or crashing as in ammonia spike from feeding? I haven't fed yet. He's not looking good. He's hanging out in the corner on his side. Lights are all out down there though. I want him to be not stressed. I also am going to run to the store today to pick up something for him to hide in. Any recommendations? Or just a big piece of pvc?

Sorry was reffering to his comment of feeding more and not crashing dt . And yes meaning ammonia spike if food goes uneaten and not shiphoned out idk about u but i dont want to do wc everyday on anything specially a qt . Pvc is cheap and will be best its what most people use try some live food blackworms or brine if he eats black worms what i did was ween my pakastani off live to frozen blood worms didnt take long mixed in with live then was all frozen . Now getting him off worms onto mysis took longer i made cubes of worms mysis and brine and feed tank everyday eventually he started eating the mysis and brine which then i started to feed just the mysis and brine with spirlina it worked but took months and lots of prazi treatments for flukes to even get him to start eating angels and bf have history of coming with flukes and over time i found that is ine main reasons they wont eat after treatment most ate right away some went straight for pellets. Some took week some took a month or two hopefully its fat enough to make it good luck
