New build 150g Cube tank

Here is another update, i believe that the tank is pretty much done cycling it is processing the ammonia and nitrites within 24hrs. I am just waiting on a fish order then can stop having to add ammonia every couple of days. I did get a few new toys today, thought I would post the pic and update. I traded my 2 RW20s for 3 RW8s and also go my MP40 that I ordered, pretty excited about that. I should have more than enough flow for this tank now.

Impressive new toys, looks like fun.

I bt he was. That seems like a fair trade as well. Glad to see it as I saw the flow in the 150 Cube with the 20's and on low was insane LOL. Working on swapping out my Eshopps RS200 with the Trigger emerald 34 sump. Lots more space for a larger skimmer :)

Been awhile since an update on my tank. Christmas and New Years kind of slowed me down, but i do have some updates to share. I have a few fish in there, so that's exciting, I will post pics when i actually get my lights up, cheap marineland LEDs kinda suck lol. So this past weekend I have been working on my lighting situation, let me tell you trying to figure out how to light a 36x36 inch tank is pretty complicated, at least it was for me. Anyways i ended up getting a Zetlight (thank you Butch for such a good deal and meeting me on New Years eve so I could pick it up!).
So far the light looks pretty slick, haven't really had a chance to mess with it much, its got a ton of colors and i need to edit them and see how it looks in my tank. Here is a photo of the box the light came in.

Now I knew going in that this light was not going to cover the entire tank, I had planned on getting 2 of them. Then i got to thinking that I had almost went with a T5/LED Combo, so i decided to get a couple retrofit kits and build them into the canopy. I have just finished that and taking a break, need to put the canopy back on the tank and see what i looks like on the tank. In the mean time here is a photo of the inside of the canopy, let me know what you think. Thanks for looking!

I am jealous everyone else gets to play with sticks....so i wanna join in on the fun lol

Canopy looks good. Power that beast up.

Some type of coating on that steel bolts/brackets to prevent corosive/rust?

That is a good idea, didn't think of that, guess i will get something to coat it with tomorrow. I have powered it up but not on the tank yet. I am building my DIY screen top, was using glass top that came with the tank till i got this thing built.

Well i did put the canopy on and tested the lights....wow maybe complete overkill, how will you know if there is too much light? Guess i need a PAR meter lol.

So had a fish death tonight, my Anthias sadly passed away, not sure why...the other tank mates seem perfectly fine and my water is testing out pretty good.

They just die pia fish to keep alive need a ton of food i was told ive given up on them

Ya i think i am going to look for another type of "schooling fish"

Yea its a shame they so cool looking second favorite next to wrasses . But i tried so many times they eat do good then just gone usually cant even find bodies

Did a few more updates this weekend. Finally gave up on the dosing pump ato, could never get the sensors to act right. I ordered and installed an Avast Marine Works ATO, which i hooked up to my Apex. So far its working great, it uses a pressure switch and a backup float valve. I also added more fish this weekend. Got another clown and a yellow tang as well as more clean up crew. Things are looking better, I am at work right now and will have to take pictures and post some soon.

Well just added a ton of frags of SpS this past week...I will take a picture soon but tank is starting to look a lot better!
