10-fo Smitty I'll be home all day seeing the boy has my car and it hurts like he!l just to drive around anyways.

Aside from noobs, I know there are a whole bunch of reefers lurking on this site who have years and years of experience. I would love to hear from them too.

Eric, this is so true.. Some like to remain quite and not be on the fourms that much.. But love the hobby and go way back on how things have changed! Here is a members tank that is old school and doesn't like to be bothred.. Was shocked when I 1st seen his tank.. I love to go over and gather as much information that I can from him.. Just wish they will come out and share the amazing info

I could see why a lot of people don't post. They see the same core group of members always posting and it really looks like a private clique.

True Eric, the two things on your post .. dont you think they go together?
so when a person comes out and says what he knows about reefing with the idea of helping a newerbie and some one who knows better but dont know a good way to answer comes out in a rather rude fashion to counter answer .. how would anyone not feeling like a part of that exclusive club feel like participating and answering the questions even if they think they know the answer ..

They precisely go together. Plus, many of the folks on CR think this is the first time this concept was ever done. The reality is that most of the very senior reefers in Chicagoland were once doing the very same thing on RC that many of the members are doing here now. They've been there, they've done that...and it's no longer exciting for them.

you know after growing with CR the only negative responses helped me!! it taught me not to be dumb hahaha but seriously its all constructive criticism and all in all to me its been good not negative! and everyone knows i had a rough start!

That's what I'm talking about. BTW, sweet tank!

Never really been afraid to ask, after searching of course. I've been in the hobby since '99 and freshwater before that, and I am still learning new stuff all the time. For me, it's rewarding to help answer a question when I know for sure what I'm talking about, or have had personal experience with the topic. People here tend to behave pretty well too :)
