Is this the dreaded "blown out stomach" of a dead Sea Hare? I picked him up 3 days ago before the picnic and never really ate much of anything. I acclimated him for six hours because of what I've read and the longer then usual time in bag.

Whether it's blown out stomach for not, he sure has been napping for a long time. FYI, I moved him up there for the picture - he was on the sand when I found him. He moved around, but always moved towards the bottom of the tank if he was moved by me.

Yes, I know the water is super cloudy. I dosed some Azox and fed liberously before the picture.

It hasnt' even flattened out onto the rack like it does to whatever it's on (when it's alive, of course) in over an hour. I pulled it because I've heard they can go toxic and hurt the tank.

As long as you don't let them rot in your tank they are not toxic..
Take him out and dispose of it.

It could have gotten stressed... who knows...

I have some more coming in with in a week
shoot me a pm, let me know when you can swing by
and I'll have another one for you :)

If I remember right, you wanted a smaller guy anyway right ?
I'll have various sizes coming in I can hold the smallest for ya, if you want.

Let me know...
