Reef Savvy 137 gallon build

some more things..

picked up 1 of my sumps from Anthony (Nano Sea Creations)... thing is a beast 47x16x16... he did a great job...

also got a frag tank!! 48x24x12... also a great job...

I also took the Skimmer I had for this tank and I'm going to use it on my 28x28x14 build, so I picked up a slightly used Super Reef Octopus XP3000I SRO version from Aquatica.... thing is a HUGE!!! Dimensions: 14.5”x13”x22.5”

Nice build! The sump looks good. Anthony is making one for me too with dim of 48"x17.5"x17 so it'll probably look just like yours:)
 
First 2 fish

So I setup a QT tank and these are my first 2 fish... Great Deal from Mario at Aquatica... My tanks are coming end of month... I hope...

Ok since I hijacked my own thread...

Ok so after driving to work and researching!! Lol I think if I keep tank at like 74, I can peacefully keep these 3 plus my corals in my display tank. Now I'm excited... Now I need to get a blue jawfish for my 137 gal!! So here are my first 6 fish.
Pair helfrichi
Trio ventralis anthias

And will get blue jawfish.


Now what else for this tank?!?! Rhomboid wrasse pair/trio?
 
U best not be stealin my rhomboids! I'm wrasse less waiting for a nice specimen(s) to show up for sale! LOL. They ARE sexy wrasses thou, would look great with the rest of your stocking plan.

PIA had a trio and pair last night.. I passed bc they have been getting those in regularly and worst comes to worst..Mario said he can get me a pair... Sweet fish though.
 
Sad news. Got my ventralis today and my male was DOA

Very upsetting but Kevin at Pacific Island Aquatics (top notch) is going to replace for me... So my two females are currently acclimating... I'll snap pics if I can later...

I'll prob order rhomboid wrasses with them so I don't have to pay double shipping. So prob 3-4 weeks before I get them and another male.

Yeah. Was even more upset when I saw that they didn't guarantee live arrival on sat deliveries. But thank god Kevin said he'd take care of it.
 
Really sorry to hear, I think it's even harder when it's the male that doesn't make it. Glad to hear its being replaced, that's quality service!

Yeah sucked. Just makes me wait longer to get a male. But oh well. On other news talked to Felix at reefSavvy today. He drilled holes and hopes to have it done this week coming up. Let's keep fingers crossed.

Also picking up steel stand I had built on Tuesday then off to Mlreef's suggested (and good by the way) woodworkers.
 
I am sorry to hear about your Ventralis male. Glad they will replace it for you. Great build so far. :thumb:
