Reef Savvy 137 gallon build

I am sorry to hear about your Ventralis male. Glad they will replace it for you. Great build so far. :thumb:

Thanks... Yeah I was very happy with PIA... And the 2 females are looking good. Just tiny. I'll try and snap pics tomorrow when lights are on.

Well if u saw pic of the male that died.. They are like 1/2-2/3 size of it. Silly how much I paid. But they are soooo sweet looking. Kevin said he expects more Monday but he needs to make sure they are eating before he sells them. So prob 2-3 weeks

Very upset. Looks like one of the females is not doing too good, really didn't want to eat and looks super stressed.

Well one female has died also. So now i'm left with one lone female. The one thing I can say that is positive is that Kevin over at Pacific Island Aquatics is a stand up guy with great customer service. Answers my million questions and Is taking care of me. My next ? Is... What do I do? Get another ventralis or use credit towards another fish? They are beautiful fish, but kevin says they are hard to ship and stress easily...

My redspotted cardinals are just like that. Mortality rate with them is high and I bought a set twice. 6 of them died and I have one lone one. He's eating great and I was crushed because I wanted it to work, but after that second batch....I was a little spent. I still want to try again though.

So.....try one more time....and if it doesn't work, then it's destiny. At least you have one show fish in the tank. It can be a stunner all on it's own.

Walt while I do agree they are beautiful, it's hard to he them again due to the fact that the third just died. Well I just woke up and found it. All 3 died in less than 36 hrs. Kevin has told me they are hard shippers and stress alot. I will not give up, but maybe I'll wait and get some other fish first then I'll try again. Sucks
