Reef sites?

Hey Friends,
Reference to other reef sites is not an issue. Im still on Reefcentral! But I'm trying to avoid an accumulation of posts that contain only links to other websites. So next time you guys want to point another member to another site, please pm that person, or post "Hey there's a nice 45 gallon for sale on reefcentral that you might want to check out". Thanks all
 
Wow. Banning an active and knowledgable member.... What's next censoring links to other forums? Oh wait, that's already happening apparently. I thought this forum was not going to be like the "others."

There's nothing in the rules saying you can't post links to elsewhere. If this forum is going to censor like RC, people will move elsewhere. History repeats itself.
 
I can understand the redirect to other sites through PM. But I think banning a member for links is a bit much.

Don't get me wrong, I think "infractions" are pointless, but banning for this...

I know you and many others are friends with Ted. He is a knowledgeable reefer, and even though he was active, unfortunately 1/2 the time he was controversial, stirring the pot, and usually the center of all the drama. This type of activity was what got him banned here in the first place. Since he got unbanned, he continued his ways in public and behind closed doors not only with CR but CMAS as well. We gave him many warnings/chances, maybe too many to the point where he felt invincible and continue to push buttons even harder. I apologize to all his friends that it had to come to this. It was a tough decision, but the restoration of this forum to a family friendly community is my priority.
