Rock's 120

I have weird, unexplained meltdowns every now and then. It pisses me off but I just got down for a round of testing and try not to do anything drastic.

Yea first thing that I have lost since tank was up and running , I've learned years ago to take a breath, test and make a reasonable reaction , funny thing is everything is where it's been for months. So can't explain this.

I figure everything has it's own little window it likes to exist in and a tank just can't be the perfect environment for them all. Maybe something changed that couldn't be avoided, growth has blocked some flow that used to be on the edge of what the coral considered to be tolerable or even more than flow it likes. Unfortunately with 150 frags in my tank, I'm finding that my placement of them all isn't perfect.

This is why this hobby is so infuriating! I'm much more content when I screw something up because at least then I know what happened!

Ok so something weird happened yesterday, I had a few people stop over last night for a few frags and last night watching the tank a cant find my potters angle anywhere , I feed him @ 4:15 when I got home and unable to find him anywhere. Look inside the tank and out. It's really weird. This ever happen to anyone

Noticed this morning my Lubbock fairy wrasse is gone. Not in the tank or behind it. No body recovered. Also about a month ago a friend gave me a cardinal and it disappeared after 4 days no body recovered

Look behind tank and flashlight in overflows . You may have disturbed a sleeping area cutting corals out and a fight broke out at night for a new spot

Do you have any anemones? What's your clean up crew like? Anything in there that could eat him? Also did you move any rock around? Any chance he got pinned under something? Have you checked the sump? I've had a few fish go surfing down to the sump and would get stuck in the filter socks.

I did not see your lubbocks yesterday either I would have noticed too as I have one named sherbert in my tank. I hope u find her. And Spartanman22 there are no anemones in his tank, the other causes u suggested I have no clue.. In regards to two fish going missing and in light of the random rtn of the acropora maybe check possibility of I hate to say it, a bobbit worm? If u reverse a 2 liter coke bottle with top cut off and inverted inwards, throw in a shrimp or something dead in there and leave it for a couple days, I have read as a successful technique for evaluating whether or not there is one present.

O man sorry to hear that. I have to say that my lubbocks goes hiding from time to time sometimes for hours when she gets scared so maybe she will pop up. But I think bobbits feed at night so maybe that is a positive indication that if the fish is dead it wasn't from that dreaded worm!!
