yea like that, needs a little focusing though, is that the sc op?

Picked these bad ass boys up from wojtek today man he's got some fire I dropped a pretty penny over there today but well worth it. I also stopped by aquapros because I got rid of a big ass rock full of zoas and replaced it with a web of tonga, I'm still scaling it and gluing all my new pieces down but everything should be happy and looking good by tomorrow. Check out AQUAPROS for some amazing selection of rock and holy crap the chalices there were insane! I need to go back in a week to pick one up for sure if they are still there!!!

woooo they are beautiful

Omg guys lol I just finished scapeing the new rockwork and holys*** this looks amazing!! Omg I'm so excited I did this! This tank is complete just need to find some cool zoas to populate this tonga with and I'll be done!! I'll post pics tomorrow when everything is awake and happy!! Woohoo so pumped!

I do wonder though if it is a smart idea to glue down 20 awesome frags onto uncured tonga rock, the rock looks pretty clean but surely there will be some die off I just hope it doesn't create a ammonia spike in the direct vicinity of my new corals so bad that it kills them. My logic is that yes although there will be a spike of ammonia it won't matter, the flow will whisk it away and since this reef is so established the ammonia should be directly converted to nitrites/nitrates immediately. Therefore I expect to have a bump in nitrates I'm just curious how much. I'm thinking that my fuge, skimmer and dosing of nopox will take care of that, the tank has been acting too clean lately for my liking anyway

O and also my clumsy ass broke a bunch of shiz in the process of making the rockwork just right so expect an update on my For Sale thread tomorrow

Awesome dude! Let's see some pics of your new scape. Interested to see what you have done because I might want to do something similar in my tank. The right side of my tank could use some branching rock.

So happy with the result!!

Cow fish r cool but they can nuke your tank if they get stressed fish start to bleed out of there eyes and scales and gills so becareful i had it happen no survivors idk about corals though

I got one long ago with fish only tank , its in 375 gals no problem but my sytems ran carbon and UV at all times don't know about with corals total agree with Joe when they get stressed they release toxin.

Love Donald!!! I checked on these guys with Tony Vargas some time ago, and found out only fish are at risk. Reef is looking great!

Joe what size tank were u running when this happened? I already knew of this issue prior to getting him but was told carbon reactor and excellent skimming take care of the issue no problem. I was also kind of hesitant to believe the stories regarding this issue because everyone tells these stories as in I had a friend who had this happen etc. however hearing it from you scares me as I trust your experience with them! So please answer the questions above.

Also I thought they only released toxins when they died not just stressed? This is weird because what constitutes stress? Clearly he doesn't give a crap when I put my hand in there because he comes right up to it and latches on lol lil guy has been leaving marks all over me and boy is it painful. He seems to be happy, is eating lots and swims up to me and is very inquisitive whenever I'm around. However I will mention that his horns are constantly poking out of the water because he seems to like the top of the tank and recently I have noticed his skin has peaked back and his inner horn bone thingy seems to be receding and rotting away what do u think?

So they release toxin just from stress? I hope turning light on in middle of night doesn't equal stress

Usually its trama that makes them release toxins its not a high risk but is a risk just dieing usually they dont release mine got sucked to power head while alive i wasnt running carbon i cant tell u if it would of helped or not i can tell u it was fast and brutal what happened to other fish and all dead in less then 5 min was a 90 gal tank and maybe 3 inch cow fish
