Secret Society

i belong to a few fish websites. i look at CR at least a few times a day just because the community is very helpful and friendly. I post a few answers here and there when i can help. I hope if this happens that the people that regularly post on CR don't exclusively just use the new section. I find their posts most informative and enjoyable and would not be able to view. my 2cents.

It's not that serious. People who come here looking for friends have other problems. If u have a ?, post it. Someone will help. I don't have a 1000 votes and I won't be mad if this gets created. I made a friend here that I talk to on a regular basis, but I am not here looking to make best friends. If it happens that's a plus.

So I don't see anything wrong with this. "Senior" members post all over the place.. There is a reason they are the most active, bc they are in all the forums trying to help. I don't see them not answering posts on every other thread.
 
OMG you guys are making this way more of a big deal than what it is... and look who is making the fuss... the newbs.

Sorry guys, get over it. You're not being excluded from anything... be an active member and BAM! you have access to it once you meet the post requirement (or pay Mike for a membership). Consider it something to look forward too. It will mostly be an "adult lounge" not some secret hideout were only the best reef secrets are kept. Thinking that we are only going to post there amoungs the dozen or so senior members and thats it is just silly to think. Its a place for the senior members to be
a) silly amongst themselves without having to be over moderated
b) some place where I can vent about newbs that are pissing me off! ;)

LOL, you guys are funny. The people who want it are the only ones qualified for it and they are complaining because the ones who don't qualify are bitching about it. Kind of ironic isn't it? How did you think this proposal was going to go? The only people who aren't against exclusivity are the ones that are doing it.

It's your forum, do what you want. You aren't offending me. Just open up your secret forum, put an auto invite on those that qualify and stop talking so openly about it trying to justify it.

I'm just disappointed because I thought this forum was better than the rest of the clubs but they are all the same.
 
Oh, BTW, I'm having a BBQ at my house with a charity poker tournament and a frag swap. "Members" with 100-900 posts only.......

cry me a river Noreen :Cry: you're a 1/3 or the way there so stop complaining! It's not exclusive by any means.... be active, reach the post count, and it automatically opens up for you (or buy a yearly membership). No invites needed, no one would be excluded.

And it's talked about in the open because it's not a secret! consider it a perk of active membership.
 
Once the coding is done you won't even see it until you hit 1000 posts... then you'll have access to it.

It's like the hidden team forums.... you can't see them, but they are there if you have access to them.
 
I love how some of the "senior" "mature" members here feel it necessary to make inside jokes about other members days after an issue was dropped and put to rest, dog ace yo. This site is just like every other site I hated because of the bs political cliques. Have a wonderful time snickering between each other.

oh btw. zoas arent treating me so well these days. i think my water is too clean now. im skipping water changes for a week.
