Now if only I could get my Mg up. Using the AquaForest three part Spain solutions, component 3 is supposed to be for Mg, but I’ve been raising the dosing amount on that pump almost daily and can’t get Mg above 1300. In the past I used a specific AquaForest Mg supplement which worked well. Maybe I just need to go back to that.

It takes a surprising amount of Mg to move the needle. I used to dump about 5-10 oz at a time and it barely made a difference.

Ya I’ve been burning through the AF Magnesium Plus. Hell im dosing about 4.5 ml of each component 24x’s a day. I like the AF stuff, but it’s often in limited stock or not in stock at all.

The new RBTA I added has been quite deflated and tiny lately because my clowns are trying to host it at night. Should I be concerned?

No, RBTA's are weird and do some of the strangest things. Only concern is if it starts going "walk about" and throws itself into a power head and gets chopped up. Otherwise they are very hardy.

I don’t think hosting is something to worry about, although it may just need to get used to being hosted.

BTAs can be strange though sometimes. I have added new BTAs to my tank in similar lighting as my established BTAs, only to see them bleach out and whither away. If it continues to be deflated, I would maybe try a little less light or a little less flow, maybe an acclimation box would help.

Thanks for the help! Not used to RBTA’s. When I added it, it was between a baseball and softball in size with fully inflated bubble tips. Seeing it the size of a golf ball made me nervous. During the day it’s not as bad because the clowns are out and about swimming. It’s at night when they host that it shrivels up. Hopefully they’re all just adjusting!

Deflating at night is completely normal. My nems take up a 3rd of DB34 during the day, and are smaller than tennis balls at night.

Alright well good to know! Mine seems to be settling in well. It’s still smaller than when originally added but it just needs some time to adjust. Fortunately it has stayed put so far.

Last night I replaced my magnafuge light with an led grow light from eBay. Stuck it to the back wall with some adhesive magnets. Hopefully now my chaeto will actually grow, and my turf algae will fade away.

I got some heavy duty adhesive magnets that I attached to the back wall of my tank. The fuge light then attaches to the magnets.

This is the light:

So I just have it facing into the second rear chamber on my tank.

The Hippy Juice that I have from [MENTION=2509]rockhead[/MENTION] is crazy, too. I have it in SUPER high light (probably too much), and I beat all of the green out of it so that it's a fluorescent pink. Enjoy. :)

I’m hoping to keep the green I love the contrast. I’ve got enough red in the Red Planet, PC Rainbow and RMF Diablo.
