wp40 second thoughts

regarding the "tornado" on your sb, when you look at the slotted cap that goes over the propeller, there is a section that is solid and doesn't have any slots. do you have that positioned down towards the sb? it is supposed to help stop the swirling sand.

Lol, I think everyone but Eric is.... On that note though, I like the pulse modes too on my MPs Eric! :)

Good luck with your WP though Joe, would like to hear what you think of it ultimately, as I'm considering them for future builds.

Oops! Uhhh, yeah, my WP40 is great on umm, "fuchsia gold" mode, it's the one just past "exotic wavy motion funtime" mode.
 
yea i can see how wave mode can build up detritus, im about to breakout my tunze and blow it all off every couple days until im satisfied. Im not sure if a wave maker is better than super high constant flow but im going to try it for a year.
 
ok so I just messed with it was trying out different modes. and what I noticed was it actually moves all the fish poop and garbage to right under the wave maker hmm. so I moved it to the side of the over flow and guess what I sat there watched it blow all the junk it ended up under wave maker and sucked into over flow so maybe have a solution. I don't have it on wave still seems useless on wave im gonna play with other modes

now I know u talking mp40 and I have wp40 but just to comment on this this tornado was on opposite side of tank then the wave maker was even on . was by far craziest thing ive seen these r some powerfull pumps I think I found good setting corals r moveing and it pushing detris into over flow and have surface breakage at top still gonna try it for few days. once u get playing with it they do have amazing amount of control still huge though lol
 
Tank looked good this morning i will c after work definitly a better spot and not useing wave mode much better to

I will try today found out my temp been low for awhile my temp probe i let get covered in coraline oops might explain bad polyp extension lol .
