Yogo's 110 build. A year long endeavor!

My sump is done! The silicone isn't the prettiest on the sides, but I just don't care too much. The teeth I just used a table saw to make some cuts because I didn't care enough either, lol. It took WAY less time and with the same effect, and no one will look at this all the time anyway :)
Fuge is 16", return is 7", and skimmer/reactor is 11" without the bubble trap.

Mind my asking why you chose to do an over/under/over baffle between skimmer and return? Do you have a way of easily cleaning detritus out of the pocket you created between the outer plates?

I did it because it's what I've seen the most. And the flow should keep it relatively clear anyway. It will have close to 900 gph through it, with about 200 gph through the fuge.

Easier to fix it now than after its full of water later, trust me stuff will settle in there and be a nitrate trap. I stopped making them that way for awhile now because of this issue. 900gph thru that trap will definitely not be nearly as much velocity as you think to keep it clean. Very few if any custom builders are placing that arrangement anymore. NSC and melevsreef both utilize the under/over/under design on their sumps for the same reason. I know you want whats best for your reef, and just trying to save you a headache later.

There's a TON of air bubbles, and a ton of air getting into the intake from the plumbing. It isn't silent, but it's not terrible.

Got ya just needs to run a bit to clear that up ive heard plugging on and unplugging takes care of it looks good tho a smaller siphon hose should fit in those baffles to keep em clean

Updates! I have pics of the stand on my DIY forum, but here's my rock wall creations. Mixture of Portland type 3 cement and crushed coral.

Sand just came in for faux sand bed, after the base of the rock wall is up I'll be pouring that. Black tahitian moon sand. Although I didn't know it was "live," so I drained it and have it drying in the garage, lol.

Right now my inlet for the closed loop is drying (replaced the gasket with a bead of silicone) and then I'll finish up the bottom of the rock wall for now. I might need some more rock, but I can't tell yet. I have a good mixture of textures, and will fill in gaps with silicone covered with more crushed coral.

My Oceans Motions 4-way should be here next week (stupid slow delivery, OMG!!!!) and then I'll get the plumbing done and put up a fun video of that as well :)

Lookin good Yogo! I might have to have you make me up a custom rock for my tank that I think its lacking! Give me a shout if you need a hand getting that setup!

Just let me know Scotty. Got a 40lb bag of crushed coral coming in today to fill in the gaps and make some more larger pieces.

I like the rock wall idea... Seen tanks with corals going up and covering the overflow box.

Will you be making areas for corals to grow or any crazy caves?
