kinda cool just hate the way they pick everything up some of the sps looks good.... my tank sucks :(
Yeah as long as you epoxy everything down then it's not a big deal. Once I get my nitrates up I'll get some good color. Yeah your tank sucks test more and you might be able to change that

Are your nitrates undetectable? What about phosphates? I tend to get better color when I run really low on both of those. For example, my Vivids Rainbow was just pinkish/brownish for a long time. I hardly ever test nitrates and when I did, they were between 5-10. I tossed some more pellets in my reactor, cut back on Acro Power, and fed a little less. Now my Vivids is coloring up pretty well. It doesn't work for everyone, but I'm a believer in running a low nutrient tank. I don't think I've ever had a coral die due to starvation or even pale out for that reason.

Both nitrates and phos are undetectable with elos test kits. I know there's some phos because of my gba problem.

Today to help with nitrates and my bubble algae I picked up this guy. Hope he starts eating the bubbles soon

I may actually do a waterchange on monday. Need to harvest my chaeto also. Think Monday is going to be a tank day. Glass needs scraped again. I hate coraline algae. Clean all my pumps and skimmer. Of course that all depends on how bad my hangover is

Fuge is packed with chaeto. Think I'm about to trash half of it

Well I cut about 2 gallons worth of chaeto out of the fuge

I didn't do a water change.

The urchin decided to break my algae clip and take it for a ride

The glass seriously needs to be cleaned. I think I'm going to invest in one of the long scrapers

Nice! Glad to hear that

I think your little clown just likes hanging out towards the top of the tank. There's not really any aggression between them but it just likes to hang out up top. They occasionally swim together though

So no waterchanges in over 4 months and pale sps has got me thinking. I think what I want to do is start testing trace elements and dosing the red sea color additives. Also I'm going to start dosing sodium nitrate. Probably going to change my bulbs today to the 20000k bulbs I bought 6 months ago. I didn't like the par values when I tested them out but we will see how it goes

Okay so I'd these really are xm 20000k bulbs then I hate them. Worst $80 I ever spent.

Just curious, why are you insisting on no water changes? You're not liking the results you're getting, so why not change up your methods and see what happens? A water change or two would replace/replenish those trace elements. I know a few people swear by no water changes, but they are a very small minority and most reefers swear by water changes. You got an RODI system, no? Are you still having GHA issues?
