180 upgrade begins :) custom stand and setup build

yeah thats what ive heard... im gonna see what happens over the next few days... and steve the wanna go fast was awesome! I saw your buddy's wreck glad he was ok.... car was movin to it was unfortunate hopefully y bloom stays small I literally didn't have one in the 93 last year...

yea I had to look pretty hard to see any diatoms at all, I followed the dr tims instructions to a T and it all went well.

It sucks that the air field was bought out by the state, no more wannagofast events there. Fall event has already been canceled.

Even I was debating between Pro's and 52. Decided 52 will post pic of my 150 gallon I am setting up.

Please do a buddy came over and helped me out today. We discussed lights and played with programming but I'm convinced they don't have as nice of blue spectrum as AI and I like the wireless controller simplicity since my phone and reef link aren't getting along. They are growing on me but I will still prolly replace with the AI in future if I can sell at a decent price not trying to loose my ass on 10 day old lights.

This is after the rescape today pics don't do justice it's cool in person very 3d and lots of shelfs for sps and other corals with caves and swim throughs

This was the old layout..

I know... I need to learn how to take pics and build doors... Sump is pretty clean though project fuge light begins tomorrow :) also gonna install the 300 watt titanium heater and ditch the eheim 300 watt in overflow I'm so torn on heaters right now I don't know what route to go since I sold the apex I worry about temp control but in all honestly the apex was useless to me beyond that since my programming skills were that of a two year old

Well I tested water the last few days... Everything was good so I transferred over some ricordia and a frogspawn and a few other corals as test subjects... Even a few tiny sps cuts to see what happens... Hey they were free and should be a good indicator of conditions... Still waiting on the last two hydra 52's to arrive so the coral is all under one light since I've sold all but one radion... Also added a purple tang he's gorgeous and extremely healthy and full of energy... Hoping he's not a total bastard later in life but oh well he was to pretty to pass up and seems to be loving his new tank.

Two Hydra 52 on 150 Gallon. Still Cycling.

Mounts made for AI hydra52s

Lights are up doors are on
:-). AI lights are kick ass compared to the radions

All finished! What you guys think

I Agree Hydras are the best have seen lots of folks getting rid of Pro's! BTW You are awesome at DIY's. Nice Mounts, will request three from you if I upgrade to a long tank :) is the height adjustable.

Lookin good. Still think it looks better in person. Loving the purple tang. Start moving coral and let's see how it looks :)

Yes height is adjustable just move the conduit up or down I can also make the hangars longer or shorter per request

And I'm still gonna wait to add coral the tanks not ready yet I put a few pieces of easy sticks in today and epoxied all the frags down that were in there tonight along with doing my first wc of 20 gallons... Everything looks good even getting polyp extension on some acros :)

thanks guys there are a few things im not entirely happy with but honestly I'm slightly burnt out I cant wait to get the 40 down and have everything all in one... I did however remove the livestock from the 12 gal cube today so thats one tank off the list... hopefully in two weeks the 40 can come down
