Any gear heads on CR?

I can help. What's the budget? I used to be an audiophile. Believe me when I say there is better stuff out there at the same or cheaper price. Some of the sound places are so full of it you wouldn't believe. A place had my buddies 2. 15" subs running off a 22 gauge wire, that's super skinny and of course unable to feed an amplifier. He wondered why his 2 15" were not as loud as my 10" sub at the time.....

Get 10" subs... 1 is what I would do... 2 is max... Kicker solo barics are real nice but pricey. Alpine has great subs for price. I use to install custom systems for years... and my buddy in aurora does custom installs now.. But they can get pricey.

For the price, IMO, the Alpine Type R's are the best sounding. And they're LOUD too.

Personally have always liked JL subs...

2005 GTO here.... It's my daily driver, but it's still a fun car.

They don't make them anymore but elemental designs v2 I think was an amazing 12" sub.
I was running crystal components in the front,Clarion 1225( I think) head unit, old school PPI art series amp and the ed 12". I also used a macintosh amp at some point.

A while ago I had 2 12" Rockfords with 2 500w Rockford amps. They were incredibly loud. Had them in my van and you could see the windshield flex, and I'm not even joking. Knocked the rearview mirror off once. Then I moved them to my Tahoe and I think an amp died, they were never as loud. Got rid of them, I'm done with the insane bass. Now I just want stuff to sound good. I'll be getting one 10" sub to go in my center console, with 6 Infinity Reference 6.5"... But that's down the road a bit.

Lol old school ... Don't even know if they make those any more!
Lol. Hell yeah, old school. Powered by two 1000 watt Kenwood amps in a 2001 Dodge Neon. It would blow your ear drums with the back seat down! Everyone knew when I was comin.

I'm rocking a eclipse aluminum 88120dvc and its loud and crisp. Been pounding it for about 6 years and still sounds like new
