Any gear heads on CR?

Her's my car when I was able to enjoy it before I decided to do a rediculous huge aquarium.

I'm liking all the FORDs!!! haha In truck pulling we use a slipper triple disc clutch with a bomb proof bell housing. Talk about expensive!!!

That is quite the opposite, twin disk is best for drag racing. The purpose of a twin disk is to hold more power, especially on an awd platform.

Correct but at 1850 bucks for the clutch alone I'd rather much get the longevity from it road racing rather than beating the piss out of it with launch control. Drag racing isn't my thing, love road America and Joliet autobahn club and gingerman.

I'm not even sure if 1850 covers the bell housing on the pulling truck...haha then another couple grand for the triple disc clutch.

I'm glad this thread is such a hit with so many people. I like to see everyones project or prized vehicle just as much as I like to see everyones tank!

I've rebuilt many twin disk setups for around $500. That's the beauty of a twin disk,it's rebuildable. At your power level there shouldn't be any issues. add 200hp to that numbber and the shock to the driveline is very evident. That's why i switched to an auto ;)

I will have to post some pics at my younger years had a 96 COBRA now that I am a older and a dad its a 2006 volvo s60r sonic blue with the ground effects package and a 95 Lotus Esprit S4S
