Base of sps Turning white

I've noticed it on a few of my higher corals in the past week or 2. I recently lost a Limeaid to RTN (if u have a frag pm me)

The base of the sps seem to slowly be turning white. It doesn't seem to be progressing anymore and even my purple bonsai seems to have colored back up. I recently put the last 2 of my 8 bulbs in my fixture.

Possible stn?

:( That does look like STN (to my inexperienced eye...), good luck Joe, hopefully you can save them!

I had the same problem like a month ago and my alk was low. Started upping my dosing and everything is healing up fine

Did a 40g change 2 weeks ago. Haven't done one yet this week but normally 10g a week. Dosing 8 tsp in 10ato with kalk

My money is on an alk swing. I had the same issue with super low swing and still battling to save two of my favorite SPS. Test it frequently until it stays stable within 0.25 DKH all the time.

I dunno what would cause a swing.maybe the large water change caused it to bump up. Seems like its been ever since the sump install

i'm reading up on treatments and its so broad. No dosing for bayer matches anothers and everyones opinions differ. lol
