Brandon and Cecily's 93g Cube

Just throwing out another skimmer. I'm not knocking the ones you've chosen, I don't know anything about them, but you asked. :a12: I had great luck with the SRO 1000INT on my 75G tank, total volume was 100 gallons. I know that they are rated pretty accurately, so that size should do it, and price is $319 at Premium Aquatics. This was the third skimmer I have had, and IMO was the easiest to dial in, and was really quiet. They run in very low level, 5 1/2" or so, so you would need to put it on a 3" stand. The next size up is what I'm getting for my new build. The SRO2000, it is also reasonably priced at $409 if you felt the need to move up a size.

Glad to hear that the seller is giving you a full refund.

I will consider both of those options as well. Basically im looking for a good deal on a used one and if I cant find one then ill get a new sca302 for $150. I would much prefer one of the nicer skimmers SRO, SWC but new they are a little steep for our budget so ill keep my eyes peeled for a used one. There is a swc 180 on this forum but its part of a package right now so if it gets parted out I may try to jump on it.

:redface-oops-6: Didn't realize you were talking about used ones. I'm embarrassed!

No worries. The nice ones are just a little out of my budget new so im looking for a used one and the sca302 is the cheap back up if I cant find one.

I wish i could see it in action already!!!! Still a lot to do to get the tank running a couple orders to place finish painting the stand etc.

Things are coming along now pretty well. The stand has been repainted. Conduit light hanger built painted and installed. Tank and stand put in place. The plumbing is now done.

I placed one order from the BRS group buy on tuesday and recieved it today. Heres my haul.

I placed another order from the BRS group buy today should get that by Monday. I have to place one order from DFS, order my rock, order my lights and wait for paypal to freaking figure out this skimmer situation.

I plan on using Kalkwasser for my top off for the first time. Ive always battled low pH 7.8-8.0 maybe its the CO2 in our house idk but i like all the advantages of maintaining a higher pH and we plan on having a medium demand on calcium and alk so Kalk should take care of this for us. To help me monitor the pH so it doesnt go to high I got my hands on a used Pinpoint pH Monitor. Ordered a new pH probe from BRS as well as calibration packets.

Heres the tank as it sits as of 10mins ago.

Moving where!!! Texas?

Wouldnt that be nice!!! Lol. No Cecily's father is not in good health he is disabled and can no longer work and is having a hard time with his mortgage so we might move to Westchester so we can help take care of him and help him keep his house. This is still being discussed at this point but no sense in setting the tank up with the possibilty of moving right away. The plus side is he has a full unfinished basement that I would finish and turn into a fish room/mancave if we do move. Ill keep yall posted as to whats going on.
