Frostys 40b

Ok so... as usual things don't go according to plan. But what fun would that be in a build. My overflow box showed up and was a little off, so I am waiting for the new new one to get here. In the meantime I got to work in the under carriage. Had to fit the sump in thru the top, so tank came off and sump went in. Then return hose was WAY to long, so it had to go. then position of the sump for ato res caused the return line to pinch. ERRRRR!!!!! But got to move the sump over, and get a piece of hose from fellow reefer (thanks bigb). got the skimmer in and return/drain plumbed in. Then I got the reactor in and plumbed and started the ato stuff. Well wouldn't you know it, I am missing the piece that holds the sensor. God Bless America!!!!!!!!!! After conferring with an associate (thanks Juicey), I am making one from a suction cup and zip tie. hope it works, if not we will see what to do. So here are some pics for your viewing pleasure. Hoping to add water by this coming Saturday, barring anymore issues.

Looking awesome so far bro! I can only imagine how badly you want to fill the tank up already!

OK Well after a VERY long day of filling and finally learning how to work the RKL (thank you JLee) I got the tank filled and water flowing. I was so tired last night after it was full, that I decided to go take a little nap. 6 hours later I come down to check on the tank and realized Hmmmm I should have checked for leaks in the plumbing before I went to bed. Needless to say, I should have waited last night. I found 2 small leaks this morning and a very small puddle on the floor. My guess is I didn't use enough Teflon tape on the fittings. So this morning I am trying to get the leaking to stop. Luck for me I had a tube of JB water weld, and knowing these parts Won't have to come apart, I applied said product. Now I am waiting for it to dry and praying it works. Next up, some fun pics of the system filling. ENJOY

really crappy pic, but just showing the RO/DI line going into the tank
