Mark's MMreef complete rebuild

I was able to do some work today. Plumed my drains and returns.Hooked up two sea swirls to returns with flow accelerators.Cleaned my tank somewhat and set my two Vortechs in place.I should have more than enough flow with this set up.Also started building my rock structure.Used fiberglass rods from HD and mortar E-Marco-400 from marcorocks.com.This stuff is fantastic to work with.I have half of my structure build, will try to get second build in couple of days.I am very pleased with it,plenty of space for corals to grow.

I would have went crazy by now :screwy:

Would have went and purchased made water already.. LOL!! But taking your time is the best way :thumbup:

Right now I have 2x blue+,3x coral+ and one ATI actinic but I will change one coral + to aquablue special or GE 6500K.

My new aquascape. I used fiberglass rods from HD and E-Marco 400 cement to build those pillars. I also went with black sand.I know it is hard to keep it clean, but I'll see how it goes.Worst case scenario I just siphon it out and replace it with white sand. Sorry for cloudy water and dirty glass, but I am so excited I could not wait.Should be fully operational by next weekend.

Hi guys, what am I doing wrong? After the site upgrade I can't post normal size pic. I always linked them directly from Photobucket and everything worked great. Now I get those small pictures. Please help.On other forums my pic. are fine that way but not here anymore.

I love the look of it Mark! Will you be adding anymore rock to that. Knowing you, you are going to need more rock for you coral ;) What is the plumbing you see on both ends on the back of the tank? I don't remember seeing that before.

Hi,no more rock in the tank,I will put some in the sump for more biological filtration. There is a lot of space for corals with those two flat pieces of rock.I want to keep my aquascape very open for fish and also for ease of cleaning. The pluming on the back end are two Sea Swirls connected to my returns with flow accelerators for increase folw .They rotate 90 degrees ,so it will give me a little more random flow on top of my Vortechs.
