Well not really, I used compression fittings, 12 gauge wire and grease filled wire nuts to connect everything. I could paint the conduit.

What do you guys think?

Mike - It was nice meeting you yesterday. Your tank truly is amazing. I wish I could....and had the brass to try such a project. I can't wait for the next steps....and in hopefully seeing this thing in person some day.

Dan it was awesome meeting you yesterday as well! And yes you will definitely see it soon! I plan on trying to have a nice holiday party where Chicago Reefs memebers come by for food and drink and admission is just a frag or two! Thanks for the great idea!
 
Mike almost there big guy! Before you know it your wife and kids will have to peel your face away from the tank to get you to the dinning room table. LOL
