My New Upgrade.....Again

Thanks! I'm really liking the scape so far. I just have a couple more moves to make with my mini colonies and then just let this baby grow!

I've decided to do a sump/refugium for the tank so that I can have an ATO out of sight as well as a protein skimmer. The problem I have is a 10 gallon tank for the sump would be slightly too long to fit so I'm researching my options at the moment.

Quick update: I've added some stuff and rearranged a few things.

The most notable pick ups are my two scolys from Sho Tank. Matt has some killer prices and quality livestock. I've also added a black maxima clam from AP.

There are other things I'm probably forgetting. But this is all for now.

Looks great!!

Thanks man! It's finally coming along. The sps has started to really take off and grow now! And the light is stupid bright! I'm actually going to raise it up about 2" from where it is now. I'm also wanting to get the IT2040 for the moonlights and the controllability lol! We'll see, I'm still debating!

Wow! lol I don't even have mine at 100% and its sitting about 8" above the water. Everything looks great in your tank though. Can't wait to see how it looks a few months from now :)

I know me too! I'm going to probably raise it up to 8" tomorrow. My dad is finally back home and has a conduit bender, as well as some 3/4" pipe laying around. I was initially a bit hesitant to crank it up, but I raised it to 100% over a period of two or three weeks.

A few 180mm Macro Shots

Well I had some time this evening to mess around with my 180mm macro lens. Until I get my 60mm macro back this will have to do for now.

One thing that stood out during this shoot was that LED's are so freaking difficult to photograph under. Next time I'm going to use my 14K fixture I have laying around. I found it much easier to photograph under because it doesn't blow out highlights as much as my fixture.

First shot: a purple and green acan

The quality of these pics didn't come out exactly perfect but I just wanted to quickly mess around with the lens and see how the photos came out under these led's.

If anyone know the correct names of the pics, or if I've incorrectly named one, please let me know. I'm trying to create a list of what everything is called for my reference.
