???? nervous?????

I test after every water change and do not add anything else unless it is necessary. If your test card looks like that the. The alk reading you are giving us is incorrect.

Its the alk card that eric has! sorry for all the confusion I was at work and was stressed about the current situation and was stuck at work! now im home and fixing this!! Ok going into before the water change I am at 2.8 and today my pH is at 8.0 which is a good thing that its rising
Alk 2.8 (kinda low)
pH 8.0
Ammonia 0
nitrate 0
nitrite 0
phosphate 0
calcium is 500+

Yeah I don't see it now that I'm on my Phone either. Looks like the OP did see it which was the important part anyway.

I bought 55 gallon plastic barrels that i put RO water in and add salt too it runs with a powerhead in it and 2 heaters so it's always ready when i need some.

I think you mentioned you have LED strips. What type/brand are they? Sorry if you already stated, but I just read thru 90 posts and don't have time to re-read :)

I think it depends on how much you want to spend! haha I hate to say it but Aquatica was incorrect in the advice they gave you. If you want to keep costs down a T5 unit will give ample light for clams and SPS. If you want to jump into the SPS arena, AIs give you a good bang for the buck. I also do like their blue color (that is a color preference). It looks like Apolo LEDs have good reviews for a good entry level LED. Of course some of the high end LEDs like Radions and Acans, etc will cost you a good chunk of change.
