Osama's new setup

My latest Picture of the framing

Matt our professional installer is doing a great job on the tank enclosure and here are the latest two pictures. We have some issues that are being tackled by Matt in a very professional manner and we hope he can resolve those. More on that in a week or two. I & wife love this setup, after 20 years with smaller tanks we now have one big beautiful tank and a temporary 65g quarantine tank that will house all new fish before they move to the 500g MDT then we plan on taking that 65g tank down

Here is what we consider, the secondary tank view from my home office side .

This will be the primary view from the Family Room side. Note the enclosure panels are NOT yet attached in their final position. Work in progress and will be connected this coming Tuesday

Hope you like the setup as much as we do and Thanks for viewing
Will post pictures later on of our corals that are doing great in a newly established tank. This also is work in progress by myself and spiritual support from wife

Really really nice...Thanks again.
Thank you Mai. We really really love it and as Matt gets more done we love it even more... Nice clean setup that we can enjoy in our retirement.. This is now my full time job A real pleasure of a job.

Thanks Vu Glad U like it. Today moving to DT three SPS frags I bought yesterday and twenty one ricordias bought by Rich for a group of us. They were all placed in a smaller tank till today for the move to the DT

Was at Matt's (my system designer/installer) store in Mundelein and he had some beautiful selection of corals and fish. I never mention Matt's store before but was impressed with what he had today more than I usually am with his stuff. Hope it is OK to make such a statement here ..

Side Note A birds nest on our patio looking into my reef ( not really)

We have a Robin nest in a small hibiscus plant on our deck

Here is the latest as of this morning .the mother left the nest and my wife noticed that the eggs hatched .at least two of the three did. And the mother came back and sat on the third egg and baby birds. How they do not suffocate is beyond me. Enjoyable scene to us at least hope U like it as well Here is where the video can be found

I have been busy and not posting .. Matt ( Our designer installer) has not given up on fixing the excessive bubbles in the tank and so far we have been unsuccessful in controlling the bubbles. He is looking with flash-light and etc.. to see where the bubbles are forming in the sump. Still have lots & lots of bubbles distracting from an otherwise beautiful setup. Frustrating but we keep our fingers crossed. Knowing Matt he is usually a very determined person

Still tackling bubbles Noise & Humidity in the room
Here is an update on the tank occupants enjoying the life. All six pictures from Family Room side Nest posting will be for pictures from office side.

From Right to Left Let me know what U think Please/// Suggestions on improvements are welcome Thanks

Wow what an amazing setup you have! I'm guessing it's even more incredible in person!
Dom I am extremely pleased with it . Matt Jensen of ShoTank designed the system bought the material and hand crafted the cabinet. Very impressive looking piece .
Almost done with the work but not quite yet....

Blue star Polyps are getting blown all over my 500g tank. Wife loves them. We both are OK with them on a contained rock. My question: How best to get rid of zillion of them spreading like a wild fire?? Can anything be bought that will eat them and not damage anything else like tube worms , inverts or corals etc? Appreciate your input and thanks

I have removed the rock before and used a tooth brush to remove I also got the plumbers epoxy and rolled out to a sheet and covered them up for couple weeks then pulled off the epoxy and they where all gone not sure which way would be easier for you
