rmeugene's transition build

I have a 17x17x15 sump in my stand currently that my 24 gallon is hooked up to. I will be putting the 29 in it's place. I did get a stand with the 29 and will be putting my 24 on it. Probably going to use it as a QT now...although it will be kind of 'wasted' in that role. I might watch for an RS75 for cheap as I believe that will fit in the stand.

The 29 will have:
Radion G2
Cad Lights PLS-100
Avant Marine ATO
MP10w
Full Apex with ph, temp, PM2/Conductivity Probe, WXM
Currently a Rio 1400 but I have an Aqueon 2300 that I will probably use
2 Finnex 100w titanium heaters

Nope - just used a razor and slide it along the glass where the wall meets the side glass. Once I had done that I just pushed slowly on the top middle of the wall towards the front of the tank and the bottom seam of the wall slowly released from the bottom glass. Where the seam met the bottom or side seams I just stopped short so as not to break the integrity of the main seams.

Tank is at the LFS to be drilled. Will have a center top overflow box, right hand side return and I will be placing my MP10 on the left side back wall. This will allow for no intrusions on the sides for better viewing.

Other items that have arrived:
RO/DI
Cadlights PLS-100
Avant Marine ATP
PM2 & WXM

I need to build box out of egg crate to raise the new skimmer to a 6" water level which they say is the optimum level. Have the components for the Apex sitting next to my recliner so I can play with it before trying to hook things up. Hopefully will have the tank back this weekend. Still contemplating what I will do with my current 24 gallon nano setup. I will be using the custom sump and the stand for the 29 gallon. Probably keep an eye out for an RS-75 sump as I think that would fit in the stand so I could keep the current 24 as a complete setup.

Beginning to get the feeling I am not meant to go to a different tank…got the call that my tank was cracked during drilling…guess I am now on the lookout for a 29 gallon biocube. :(
