wow, sorry to hear! just reminded me I left my back door unlocked this morning but I do have Simplisafe alarm system. Glad you and your wife and your tank are safe.

Yeah, middle of the day at about 3:00. Broke out the sliding glass door in our bedroom, took most of our small electronics, all of my wife's jewelry including her wedding ring. Neighbor was home and heard the booming noises, but thought it was construction next door.

get Simplisafe or some other alarm system. Simplisafe is easy to install. Took literally 10 mins. $24.99 a month for live monitoring. They are quick to respond and call the cops. I know because I stupidly forgot to shut off the alarm when I walked the dog before and didn't have my cell phone with me. I literally saw the cops pull up to my door as I am walking back from end of my block.

For your situation, I just realized that the same thing can happen to my sliding glass door and it won't trigger my alarm. I will have to add the glass shattering sensor soon.

Edit: nm, Simplisafe got me covered cuz I have a motion sensor set up in the living room =). I know it works cuz our dog got out once and triggered it while we were away...haha. And yes, cops showed up again =(.

When a thief is breaking in. They usually are nerveous to spot anyone there

For mine say they open door and password isnt put in the time allowed the alarm goes off and neighbors will ***** about it down the block because its loud as hell.

Imagine a thief breaking in sneaking.....and then a loud ass alarm goes off that a block a way can hear it. They run the **** out not looking back.

I can add 911 txt if i want but it hasnt happened and both of my neighbors are retired and are always home.

It sucks that its happening alot more and its becoming common.

Again stay safe.

Sorry to hear about your break in this week. It sucks knowing someone came into your house and stole your personal belongings while you were away.

Definitely look into a security system and home surveillance options. Cameras may deter thieves from striking again. I have installed Simplisafe home security system and a camera to try to protect against burglaries.

Damn .. soo sorry to hear that buddy.. hope the loss is easily recoverable and everyone is safe

Well, I have a new camera, but haven't spent much time with it, and I no longer have a computer with Lightroom.

So here's a few. I shot in JPG with no color correcting. My new zoom lens came in yesterday, so maybe I'll get some macros later today.

Well, your first question sorta answers the second . The emperor and his friends don't allow me to have good PE.

The emperor is in there. He's just kind of a grump and hangs out in the lower right under the rocks. Then when fish swim by, he darts out, barks really loudly, and chases them away. That little area is home to my Niger trigger and the emperor. They're roommates.

Haha thats funny cause my emporer grunts really loud also. I was gonna try to put my angels in seperate 210's that I have running but after seeing how severely they inhibit polyp extension I have decided against trying to put them with my sps. So it will be single 210 for my 3 angels. And have also decided to use my large frag tank for my sps growout system with just tangs and wrasses. Regardless of the loss of polyp extension you have some beautiful thriving sps sawdonkey.

Was looking at my light fixtures a couple of nights ago and saw that across my four fixtures, I have about 25 blue diodes burnt out. They are still very dimly lit, so it wasn't totally obvious. No wonder I've thought my tank was looking a little white lately. I think a few fans inside the fixture have gone bad too. I've got a few extra fans laying around and ordered 30 royal blue diodes from eBay. I've got a pretty big project ahead of me on Sunday. I'm going to limp these fixtures along for another two years at least.

Goodluck, and may it go smoothly.

You're probably right about the UV. The ones in the same location in the fixtures are burnt for the most part. This isn't my first rodeo soldering new diodes in these things. When I first got them, I removed a bunch of cool whites, removed Reds and greens, put a couple of whites in the blue channels, etc. The biggest pain in the ass is taking my light down from the under side of my canopy.
