Hey all the tank is finally starting to look good again after its move into the new place so I started snapping some pictures. Enjoy!

Tank was setup in august of 2013. I graduated this spring and my fiance and I moved to Forest Park. The tank struggled a bit after the move, but things are starting to rebound.

18×18×18" cube
20L sump - skimmer, return, fuge (left to right)
SCA-302 skimmer
RKE
MP10wES
Kessil a350

I run carbon and GFO in TLF reactors off my return manifold. The RKE controls two BRS 1.1 ml doses for calcium and alk, and I currently dose 1 drop of iodine daily. Other than that it's been running itself for the most part. I typically feed 2-3 cubes of either mysis or spirulina brine a day, and an automatic feeder feeds spectrum pellets twice a day.

The next project will be installing the frag tank next to it. The frag tank will be plumbed into the main system and will probably just become a place for me to store my zoa collection!

I just pulled my old 22" custom T5/MH fixture out of storage in preparation for the frag tank build. For fun I threw it over the DT and boy did I forget how much I love MH/T5 combo. The Kessil is great but there's just something special about halides. I intend to light the frag tank with the halide temporarily but will likely replace it with an Evergrow D120 or OR s026 due to the higher electrical costs associated with MH's

And to kick things off here's a little equipment pick.

The current lighting plan is to take my DT's Kessil A350 and put it over the frag tank. The display will then be lit by this

Thought I'd update this if nothing for my on photo logging purposes. I just finished the installation of an advancedacrylics 18×18×8 frag tank.

I plumbed the frag tank into my current system and have it sitting next to my DT.

I found the "GLASS" warning a bit ironic

The tank was packaged pretty well and shipped fast (within a week of ordering)

I drilled this myself since none of their predrilled options fit the specifications of my stand and sump layout.

Here it is plumbed and in its final resting spot.

Filled up and with DIY frag tank and Kessil A350 installed.

And now an FTSS (full tanks shot ).

I also just got my new DT light in an OR T247. The light shipped quickly and was well packaged. The setup and operation is real simple with the remote. This thing puts out some serious light and the color is very nice! The fixture itself is also very sleek which is a huge plus! If you already own some type of controller the only real advantage to having the T247 over the S026 is the single cord. All the remote/display allows for is a on/off and intensity timer essentially which you could do with a controller. You can't do ramp up/down programs. But only having one cord was a huge plus for me as far as aesthetics are concerned.

All in asll I'm very impressed so far and hopefully the coral respond well! I have the blues set to 45% and the whites/reds/greens set to 20% and it is damn bright even at such low intensity!

Oops! :) and our tanks are even close to the same size but I love that both of yours are rimless. Only one of mine is. Been trying to convince the wife a 60 rimless would look better than the 27 rimmed next to the db 30
