Fwiw my navarchus didnt eat while in QT for 4 weeks. Atleast not when i put the food in. He was in with 4 other fish. None wanted to eat while i was there. They must have picked at stuff while i was at work. Most of it would settle and they would not care for it.
Once in the DT they went crazy and ate everything.
My buddies potters didnt eat for 1st 2 weeks.
He is with a Dwarf Golden who is loving all the feeding attention! I was hoping having him with a good eater would help his eating response. The bad news is I noticed last night that he has ich. I've known it was likely in my system, but my fish never showed signs as they all are way overfed and kept very healthy. My intentions were to run all fish through TTM when I move to the 80 gallon in 2 weeks. None of the rock or water from the existing setup is making it into the new setup. So, I figured a round of TTM plus a week or two of prazi and everyone should be good to go into the new setup. But, with the regal not eating well I'm concerned about him making it now that I've noticed ich popping up on him. He's the only fish I can see visual signs on (obviously if he has it its in the system and other fish have it).
I'd like to start a TTM for him now. I've got a 36" 15 gallon tank I could keep him in as an observation tank until the move; however, I leave Monday for a week long business trip, and I don't know if my wife will be up to doing a tank transfer for me. I am going to try and get some more frozen foods and some garlic supplements tonight. I'm going to grab some oysters and see if he likes those. I think if I can get him eating well he'll be fine for another two weeks when I go to put everyone through TTM.
