Spartanman's cube

I'll pull the Nikon out tonight and try to get some good shots. They are all a bit pale but should color up very nicely.

Well it's been a long time since an update. I took some DSLR photos of my recent ASD purchases, but my Dad is borrowing my laptop so unfortunately all I've got are iPhone shots.

SPS have been coloring up like crazy lately and growth has picked up big time. I've been ramping up my Alk and Cal practically daily. With how well they're doing it makes me even more nervous for the tank move in May.

PC Rainbow - Growth has exploded on this recently and it's really starting to get the rainbow coloration.

Quickly becoming one of my favorites. Hard to capture it with the iPhone but the encrusting base is yellow.

My wife also got me a beautiful Golden angel for Valentine's Day. He has been in the frag tank by himself and has developed quite a fat little belly! This guys is probably the thickest angel I've ever had and I've had some pigs before. So I'm pretty stoked that he's such a great eater. I am a bit nervous though how he'll do with the Potters and Swallotail in the 80. I'm more concerned with him getting picked on than him doing the picking. He is a very timid fish and the Potters is much more outgoing.

Ahem...

Do you mean the golden angel, that resembles a potters angel/chevron tang colors? OR the yellow golden flake angel???

When that place was closing in Bensenville exo aquatic they had a goldenflake in a lonesome tank maybe was aggresive. But they wanted 300...then they droped to 275 and last i heard they had that special everything half off for the closing/move...the flake was 175 at the end while the half ofd was. If the flake was still there would have been an easy 90 dollars for a 300 rare fish... with out facebook or insider scoop i wasnt aware of the half off closing event.

So, did you pick up the goldflake?
Or is the angel in the frag tank the redish angel that resembles like a potters/chevron tang colors?

Ya sorry I forgot the Dwarf! It is the golden dwarf angel. This one is a deep red/orange. I'd love a Goldflake angel but will likely end up going with a regal.

Scored myself a beauty yesterday. One of my all time favorite Angels. I've had one before but was never able to get him eating. Reefwise has had this guy for a bit and he's been eating well, and his fat belly definitely reflects that!

Very nice looking tank and I love the new angel! But, why such a full frag rack? Let's get to mounting those suckers!

Trust me I hate the frag rack too, but I'm moving May 10. Everything will be transferred into an 80 gallon deep blue. So I've avoided mounting anything since I'll be tearing down so soon.

Turned the blues down to try and get some better iPhone shots

This Monti is going to be insane! It's yellow with blue polyps. Hard to capture with the iPhone may need to pull out the DSLR for this one.

I unfortunately got a message from my wife while out of town on business that the new Multibar was dead. I'm guessing it was due to lack of eating. Despite him eating in the store he never at prepared foods once I took him home. Such a disappointment. I love the Multibar but I've had two now that never even touched prepared foods so this is the last time I try one of those

Ya it sucks but unfortunately it's part of the hobby. Outside of the death everything else is doing really well. Growth has exploded in the last couple weeks

I've noticed what look like some type of scabs or bacterial infection type marks on my black leopard. I don't have a QT setup yet and wouldn't be able to catch him anyway. He acts normal, eats well, and is very active.

I was planning on dosing PraziPro into my reef. From what I've read it seems pretty reef safe. Other than shutting off the skimmer and taking carbon offline, anything else I should be doing?

Ya it's a bummer but they're all active and eating well. When I move in 3 weeks I was planning on running everyone through PraziPro and TTM just to play it safe
