The journey begins - Elos 120 XL

Long time , so my chalk bass group finished qt and was transferred to DT yesterday. I lost one for apparently no reason, so 4 out of 5 made it . I did add more corals and tank is starting to look fuller. I am also finding small baby sun polyps around my tank, I guess they are thriving and spawning. My trio of sunburst anthias still doing great, but are very shy. I hope new fish will help them to feel more secure and I will be able to see them in open more. I am looking now for a batch of Ventralis antchias to go to my qt as next fish. Now some new pictures :

Happy Father's day to me !!! :)
Just ordered trio of Marshall Islands Multibar angels from PIA, always on my list , I know they are very finicky but coming from Marshall Islands increase their chances by a lot. Also my peaceful, dim lighted set up should be perfect for them, hopefully I can keep them , wish me luck :)

Multibars are one of my favorites! I've got one that I picked up from Reefwise, eats like a pig! A trio will be so cool!

Thanks, I was waiting for Reefwise to get those, but when this trio showed up, I couldn't wait. How long do you have yours ? What do you feed it? Any tips from actual owners of this fish greatly appreciated :)

I have had him for about a month now. This is the second Multibar I've tried. The first never ate prepared foods but nipped horribly. This guys eats very well and no nipping.

I feed him mysis, brine, LRS, Rods. He eats all those really well. He picks at nori and is starting to show some interest in pellets. I've found clams on the half shell and squid to be really good fresh food options that'll really entice finicky eaters. I also have soaked my food in selcon too.

Lol, yes, my sunburst anthias and chalk basses still hiding when camera is out :), but getting bolder with each day.

How are the multibars doing? As soon as I'm past this whole velvet issue I'm going to try and get a trio from PIA as well.

Well, i got them last friday and unfortunately the smallest one was dead on arrival, so I have pair in my qt. So far no luck getting them to eat , but they are still shy. I see them looking with interest when i put food in tank, but they did not tried yet. Both are looking fat and healthy, so i figured i have at least couple of weeks to get them to eat something. I got burned by not qt in the past, and they will have to stay in qt , they will either make it or not, but i am not taking chance by putting them in my DT. Future fish will be Ventralis anthias and Bandit angel, so I can not compromise my DT just for Multibars, for now i am hopeful that they will finally eat something. Trying different foods every day, just waiting game now, I guess. :)
