Looking great, I wish I had the patience and time to deal with the feeding/nutrients in an NPS tank. Can't wait to see this thing continue to fill in!

Hey Mark, opn the red sea fan, what kind of flow do ou have that thing in? I can't tell from the pic. And what are you feeding it?

Hi, sorry missed this question earlier , my flow is a laminar flow going around my rock structure. It is powered by one Gyre 150 pump , mounted vertically in left , back corner of aquarium. It is set on 40% . Once it gets going flow is pretty good, but not turbulent and chaotic like in SPS tank. My seafan is mounted perpendicular to the water flow. Picture below helps to visualize this. Red is flow, yellow is the seafan.

I do feed my tank twice daily, for seafan mostly phytoplankton, as it needs very small food particles.

Good job Mark, everything looks amazing. I see that you feed twice a day, and since I've been feeding my tank twice a day also, all my fans, gorgs, whips constantly stay open. So thanks for that advice.

Thanks Mark! My mom picked one up at the swap as well so I wanted to make sure that I had given her good advice on keeping it happy. Hoping she can keep it looking like yours!

So, next batch of fish in qt , 5x chalk bass. My trio of sunburst anthias is in DT after successful qt, but they are very shy by themselves, so I need some more fish there soon. Those chalk basses are great, hardy fish, unfortunately not very popular with aquarists. They stay small, are very peaceful and get along in small group. So far one week , and they look healthy and eating great.
