The journey begins - Elos 120 XL

imo I'd do a black background Mark...great contrast and will go better with the olive green walls imo...
Really looking great so far my friend :thumb:

I'd vote black as well, IMO it's a better backdrop for highlighting coral colors

I should have painted mine....
I now regret not doing so as I see the wires an stuff.

Hopefully scoreline will take over the back.

Ok, very busy morning, but I got done what I wanted to accomplish today. Now time to take my son to see Santa Claus.

Some pictures for you guys, enjoy :)

One word.....BEAUTIFUL!

more like Exotic haha

Question : is there a reason why the light isnt exactly in the center and a little towards the back of the tank ?
~ safe to assume its on purpose as you will be placing a lot of lps in the front and sps in the back portion of the tank ? ;)

Can't miss with either. A lighter blue will pop off that green wall or black will fit tank trim and other room trim. Looks great, can't wait to see it with water!

Thanks, I am leaning towards black, had blue before I guess I want change.

Oh man this gonna be good . Id do black jmo hey why the bottom of u tank got polka dots

Lol, you asked me about those dots on my last build few years ago Joe, anyway this tank has a multi pane bottom, it is silicone between glass panes.

I like my rocks to be towards the back and leave open space in front . So my light is center over the rockwork. It will cover any corals I want to grow, but have no need for light over the sand bed in front. Plus this way my front glass stays free of algae longer .

It will, just takes time

Any plans for a top? Or just going to try and avoid "jumpers"?

Looking forward to seeing your plans for the front right sand area :suspense:

Wow what a fantastic job! Do you intend to run the ATI cord through the wall? Also is that one massive rock?! I'm a huge fan of the scape, I love how open it is

There will be screen for sure, it will be done as I had before, suspended inside tank, so not visible. As far as aquascape , this is it. I always like open sand space for fish to swim. No reaal plans for that side, with the exception of putting few tube anemones there in sand.
I love the stand and wood behind it real piece of art
Thank you buddy

Thank you, yes, I will run cords and any piping through the wall. This is one big rock, about 70 Ibs.
